Assassin’s Creed III Walkthrough

Optional objective/s:

• Solve the puzzle within 5 minutes.
• Take less than 30% damage.
• Do not use ranged weapons against animals.
• Complete all optional objectives in a single playthrough.

Part 1: Exploration

Once you arrive on the island, walk with your buddy up to the centre of the area. You will notice four search areas surrounding the middle of the island.

Once the timer starts, you are free to go. What we need to do in each search area is find a small glowing symbol that we can interact with. Once we have this sorted, we will need to align glowing lines and rings with other objects in the environment. Once you have arranged the lines in the correct locations, the game will take you out of eagle vision and you are free to travel on to the next rune.

Here are the four locations we need to visit to find the runes:

1. At the top of the tree in the Southwest corner. 2. Ontop of the pile of rocks in the water at the north end. 3. At the top of the burned tree at the North-East side of the island. 4. On top of the rocky cave to the West of the burned tree.

After we have aligned all of the lines, the puzzle timer will stop and a short scene will play. make your way to the centre of the island. You will be attacked by three wolves. Kill them all – if you have trouble with the button prompt sequences (I sure did!), climb one of the trees nearby and air assassinate the wolves one at a time.

Once the wolves are dead, examine the clue in the search area. Following the scene, shoot the explosive barrels and drop down the hole that opens up into the water at the bottom.

Part 2: Exploration

Swim towards the objective marker until you reach dry land. Jump across the stalagmites here to the opposite wall and climb it all the way to the top. Once you are up, shimmy to the left until you can climb up onto a ledge. From here jump forward and use the handholds on the roof to continue along the passage until you reach the far wall. Climb this and jump backwards to the nearby platform.

Follow the set path here to the end and slide under the low wall on the far platform. Once inside, use the broken wooden rope ladder to climb up a short ways and then jump across to the left until you reach another rope ladder. Climb this to the top and pull yourself up onto the platform above.

Continue along the path here and interact with the glowing crystal in your path for a short scene.

Afterwards, we need to escape in a hurry. Exit down the nearby tunnel and work your way towards the objective marker until a cut-scene plays to end the mission.

Note: For completing this mission you will earn the achievement/trophy ‘Kidd Gloves’.
