It is certainly no secret that many of the larger companies in a quest to keep their computer systems secure have chosen to give their personnel USB flash drives. These flash drives can be programmed to allow everything from minimum to full access to the company’s network. Flash drives ranging in size from 256 MB to a whopping 8 GB are not limited to business use either! Think of the removable memory you use daily in your digital camera, cell phone, and PDA just to name a few. Please don’t confuse flash drives with some of their mini hard drive counterparts which began to appear on the market about a year ago. NAND Flash memory is actually an EEPROM chip that stores the data electronically, has no moving parts, and is much more impervious to data loss through damage than these mini spinning disks are.

We were recently contacted by AVB, a subsidiary of Anko/American Anko, a company that is well known for making precision gaming controllers and other high tech electronic devices. AVB explained that they had a brand new dual channel, SLC flash drive with a 4GB capacity that they felt we’d really enjoy reviewing. After reading their specs we agreed! Today we’ll find out if the specs transcend from paper to the finished product, the AVB USB 2.0 Mobile Drive.

Now, with that definition in mind, we’ll see how a company can enhance the mouse movement. After doing some reading, I found out it could be quite elaborate. The enhancements can range from special surfaces to unique lighting effects. With this review we will be looking at a mouse pad that has both: the Cyber Snipa Tracer Mouse Pad.

This review will be looking at Toshiba’s Portege M400, their tablet most closely related to the M6. Looking at the two we can see that the two have much in common and despite a few changes to the components (Toshiba uses a number of different SKUs for each model, this being the M400-S4032) there is not much to differentiate one from the other. Despite the M400’s seemingly bland exterior (and spec sheet), Toshiba is one the industry’s more popular tablet manufacturers. Their upcoming R400 is one of the most highly anticipated tablet PCs ever and other models have strong followings. Up to this point Toshiba has not focused on innovation with their tablets so much as they have price and dependability, as we will see with the M400.

The Fatal1ty 1010 mouse from Creative is an interesting contrast to the Logitech G5 Laser mouse I reviewed a month ago. The first thing is the size of the mouse being much smaller than the G5. After a short adjustment period the mouse worked just as well in heft to the G5. The weight modules are more configurable on the G5 meaning that you have more choice which is always better than limited choice.

“The goodies XTracPads send me were really effective in making my mousing experience a lot better. The MouseGrips are something that I use daily on my MX510, and I won’t take them off ! Their great. Looking at the MouseDotz, it’s just a matter of preference, their pre-cut and fairly thin so they should stay on your mouse for a long while, but teflon tape works just as good and comes with any mouse pad you buy, also with a XTracPads. The Instaglide does make your mouse glide better, but it also requires constant swiping of the bottom every few days so I wouldn’t really want to do that. But yeah it works. Overall three nice products, I was most impressed by the MouseGrips.”

It is a great phone, an amazing email device, a capable media player and a wonderful web surfer. The screen is beautiful, the Trackball is a joy to use (much better than a jog dial or D-Pad) and the Suretype keyboard works great. As good or better than the Treo and way beyond the Blackjack and the Q. Overall a highly suggested mobile device.
