PS3 is not an Xbox 360 killer
OCModshop :: Monday, February 13, 2006
Kikizo Games has gained access to three PS3 developers to give you first hand experience on the PS3.
Kikizo Games sumarised that “Sony’s showings of PS3 to date have been seriously sexy. But the reality, while still impressive, is nowhere near the leap beyond Xbox 360 Sony wants you to believe, and it seems many projects are still at an early enough stage for things to start getting a little worrying.”
“We don’t have much idea why Sony has been so quiet about PS3 lately, but in light of today’s manufacturing and development status, one theory is that it’s simply having a bit of an internal think about how best to proceed, and of course, how best to communicate their strategy to the industry and gamers, without taking the slightest PR setback in the process. In fact, considering Sony, they’d be more likely to turn it all around back into massive excitement all over again. Based on what we’ve played versus the hype of the last year, it’s impossible not to be slightly disappointed, yet we’re still hugely excited and most of all, relieved that all the claims, confusion and debate now make more sense.”
MX vs. ATV Unleashed

The sheer variety and ease of gameplay will please fans of older generation games like MotoRacer, or anyone who is looking for a simple game that doesn’t skimp on variety.
FSP Group GreenPower 400Watt Power Supply
LAN Addict :: Monday, February 13, 2006

I must say that FSP-Group is not well known in this area, but this GreenPower 400W PSU absolutely blew me away! FSP-Group have proven themselves to me to provide rock solid performance, and I would highly recommend any of their PSUs to anyone looking for performance and stability. It ran every component in my computer, at max load, without any problems at all!
Samsung DVD-HD850 UpConversion DVD Player
LAN Addict :: Friday, February 10, 2006

Supporting more formats than most DVD Players out there right now, you shouldn\’t have any problems playing any of your movies. Sporting standard RCA and S-Video connections makes it no problem to hook this Player up to your analog TV. If you\’re lucky enough to afford an HDTV Compatible TV, you have Component Video connections for your standard Hi-Def signal, or HDMI connections for an UpConverted Hi-Def signal to max out your TV and push it to its limits!

Thermaltake Blue Orb II Review
Gamer’s Hell :: Friday, February 10, 2006
The first thing of note when unpacking this product from the courier box it arrived in is the significant weight and size of the package. In common with many advanced heatsink designs these days, the Blue Orb II has a large surface area to maximise heat dissipation; to achieve a greater surface area, more metal is used, and the obvious side effect is the increased weight. When compared with the weight of the current leading heatsinks, the Blue Orb II sits near the top of the pile, approaching 900g. However, its weight is certainly far from alarming to this reviewer and poses no concern, although extra care should obviously be taken when transporting a system with a heatsink of this weight installed.

Heroes of the Pacific (PC) Review
Strategy Informer :: Thursday, February 09, 2006
All in all, this is a very solid game. It doesn’t do anything particularly revolutionary, but it will give you something else to play if you feel like a generic alternative to your flight simulator library, or perhaps if you feel like a bit of an interactive history lesson.
Battlefield : Special forces review
Driver Heaven :: Thursday, February 09, 2006
“The Battlefield franchise is known to be system intensive. With an array of textures and models mixed with a heavily coded engine, it is clearly a bumpy road to reach smooth gameplay for the majority of gamers. Previously, I had considered myself one of the few lucky ones who were able to run the game smoothly without a hassle. The game requires the same system specs as Battlefield 2, however many have reported lower frame rates with BF2: SF than with BF2.”

There are many motorsports about nowadays, ranging from the ever famous Formula 1 to the lesser known, but just as interesting sports such as DTM. We really enjoy witnessing these fast and furious races which test everything such as the drivers? speed, endurance, skill and of course, our engineering capabilities as humans. However what we enjoy even more is actually doing the racing to test ourselves and get that astonishing sense of adrenaline? But only if your wallet allows it. Disappointingly, many of you will find yourself in my position where all you have is a PC or console and a few racing games to try and imitate the real thing. Some games do it better than others and today, I?m going to be looking at THQ?s third installment in one of the most famous motorsports of all time: MotoGP
Playing Video Games For A Living
Laptop Gamers :: Friday, February 03, 2006
The easiest way to get a chance to work in the videogames industry is to start as a game tester. Mind you – the job is actually tougher and less exciting than you think. While it is true that you’ll spend most of your day playing games, you must bear in mind that this means testing to death the same game again and again, since the earliest days of development until it’s finished, and this can get really boring.
Nintendo DS Ultimate Accessory Round-Up
Gamer’s Hell :: Friday, February 03, 2006

With Nintendo’s latest handheld system, the Nintendo DS, available for little over a year now, it was inevitable that third party companies would produce several accessories to make DS gamers’ lives easier. Ranging from stylish desktop chargers to carrying bags, GamersHell went over some of the accessories available at third party headquarters www.Lik-Sang.com.
Kameo: Elements of Power
Bytesector :: Friday, February 03, 2006
Without hesitation, I can easily say that Kameo: Elements of Power was the game I was most looking forward to for the Xbox 360. This probably draws its roots from the fact that the game falls into the genre of games I most appreciate while also utilizing the 360’s power to produce some stunning visual effects. After playing this for the first time at X’05 , I simply could not wait to get my hands on the full game and see what else it had to offer. This game had been in development for what seemed like an eternity, so anything less than exceptional would be a true disappointment.”
EA’s Open Letter to Ubisoft
Primo Tech :: Friday, February 03, 2006
I’d actually laugh at this if I didn’t find it so disturbing. An open letter sent from Alain Tascan, General Manager of EA Montreal, to Joel Tremblay, Ubisoft Montreal, begins as such: On behalf of all game makers in Quebec, I urge Ubisoft to stop the illegitimate practice of forcing talented people to sign employment contracts that restrict their creative and economic freedom. EA came under great scrutiny last year with claims of stifling employee creativity, refusing to pay for overtime, and generally engaging in less-than-savory practices. Additionally, it’s widely known that EA currently seeks to gain greater control over Ubi through a hostile takeover.

PSP: The Con
Bytesector :: Wednesday, February 01, 2006
“The sound takes you. A small crowd of spectators shouting your name as you step into your world. Tonight it’s a back alley, perhaps tomorrow a park. You are a fighter, but tonight you are more than that. Money has been a tad scarce as of late, so you decide to take up acting. With what I believe to be one of the first fighting games on the PSP, The Con takes you into a world of money making. A combination of gambling, on both yourself and the opponent, combined with the fight itself makes for so…”
