Yeah, notebook display replacements are not exactly hard by any stretch of the imagination, but the do require knowing what you’re doing or you’ll break your new display.
Also, hopefully you got the display module and not just the panel. The reason I say that is usually with a drop and cracked panel the notebook’s top cover usually suffers some degree of damage, and the likelyhood of breaking the new display is much, much higher. Even without visible damage, the top cover could have suffered severe weakening as it flexed when it dropped; the ABS plastic top covers on the CPQ V2000 series are not exactly known for their strengh or resiliance to begin with, and have an extremely limited fatigue life.
