Gaming

What the hell is wrong with girl gaming?

Hey wait, didn’t the ugly hags get a chance too?

And that’s another problem. There are girls out there far better than men, and far better than those women, that I never see on the stage, that I never see give the panel speeches. Those are the ones that while defiantly shouldn’t be hogging all the screen time, deserve just as much as anyone else-even if they may be better than their cute friends.

But the one thing that has boiled my blood with this “movement” is how none of these girls are gamers to begin with.

News Flash: Playing Halo all day doesn’t make you a gamer. It’s so humerous how they think they can tell people who’s a gamer and who isn’t. While at PAX I ran into a girl who told me she was in an all girls clan. In the midst of the conversation, a girl walked up to her and asked her HOW to get into video games. While that question was ridiculous enough, her answer was even more ridiculous. She went on about finding clans, getting accepted and being into this whole thing.

What the f*ck ever happened to picking up a controller and calling yourself a gamer? What happened to it? A girl says she’s hardcore. Ok, what did you play besides WOW and Halo all year? For that matter, while you did that when did you ever shut up about how women need to be accepted into the gaming world. Why can’t you play games because they are fun, not because you want to make a stand on women’s rights?

Probably no response.

Halo “Saves your life,” “You’re proud of Halo,” good God. These are people so out of touch and without a label to hide behind they used video games as a resort. These are people who got kicked out of the cheerleading squad because the bitch that was made the captain didn’t want you unpopular dweebs around. So you come to our circle and mess it all up.

As a male, it isn’t to say we aren’t to blame for this madness. If men could shut up and treat women normally rather than spout off stupid remarks about “Being beaten by a girl,” then this crap wouldn’t be going on in the first place. It initially was a good idea, it was to show us that girls could play games with the guys. Now it’s become an overblown women’s rights movement with sex appeal that even Hillary Clinton can be proud of.

So here’s the deal: Ladies, you stop your “girl power” shouts and telling us about how this “all women’s thing” is going to be, while making your club membership consist of the cast of Coyote Ugly, and have intelligence equaling a female cast member of ‘Saved By The Bell’ and guys, we gotta stop taunting the girls every five seconds. They made their points, they kicked our asses. Now I just don’t want to have to listen to it.

I’ll say this again, I don’t have anything against the girl gaming clans, the girls that pick up controllers for Halo or whatever. I’m against this so called “Movement” that seems to have more rules and commandments than Catholicism. I’m against girls saying they are for equality with everyone then turn around and alienate everyone except people who talk like them or have above average looks. Those clans are the ones I’m speaking to, the ones that think they know this industry when they’ve only been in it for a year. There’s a place for people like those:

It’s called high school.

Well The Frag Dolls are The For Show and money We all Know that… and girls just never take the time to play video games and that is the reason there aren't that many because it is seen as something for nerds but no, it something for everone.

I'm a reasonably attractive girl who plays games, and I hate the Frag Dolls just as much as the next angry, sweaty nerd. I find that in being a girl gamer I have to ward off just as much of the "I don't want to play with the girl, she's going to be a worthless bitch just like the others" attitude as I do the original "girls can't game" attitude.

You want equal treatment? Participate as an equal. Compete as an equal. Don't like being scorned because you're a girl? Stop flaunting it. Just as soon as you stop acting like it's a big deal, people will forget it ever was.

Who said we were talking about children gamers? Children don't have any clans that I know of…

Are you stupid or blind: Those photos are of no chlidren. Children don`t have those boobs

I think F. Gonz misread the "…girls that are somewhere between a 6 and a 10" part. That's on the classic 1-10 grading scale of hotness, not age.
