OCmodshop’s Photography Journalist has written an article about the differences between amateur digital cameras and professional gear.
The strictest distinction between an amateur and a professional camera is the lens type. SLR (single lens reflex) cameras have the ability to swap lenses. Point and shoot cameras have a fixed lens that cannot be removed. All point and shoot cameras are amateur cameras. However, not all SLRs are professional cameras. Professional SLRs all have approximately the same size lens fitting. If you buy a camera with very small lenses you can be sure that this is a nonprofessional SLR. Many cameras today also balance on the line between amateur and professional cameras. This is where the debate becomes more a matter of opinion then a technical one.

What else is there left to say? It works, and without any troubles at all. As long as you play games that support additional controllers like a joypad or a racing wheel. And if you want force feedback, than you will not be sure if the game supports that, than it will work without any problems with your playstation controller. Again a fine product available at merconnet for a reasonable price. Too bad there’s still no memorycard functionality though, although it’s already been figured out by other manufactures in the time that Bleem! was popular.”

We’re ramping up the website, and need some additional staff! We need journalists in many technology areas that are experts in gaming, graphics, photography, networking, and modders. We are also looking for female models to promote the site and pose with products. If you’re up to the task, send a request to alan@ocmodshop.com.
OCmodshop will expand its review coverage to home theater, gadgets (cellphones, PDAs and other handhelds), gaming (consoles and game reviews) and digital photography. We may also need some voice talent for upcoming Podcasts. OCMS will also expand its articles to photography and graphic how-tos, and gaming articles (online gaming articles, gaming cheats and walkthroughs).
We would like to expand our gaming and industry coverage, so gaming applicants must be willing to review the latest games, attend and cover LAN parties and other gaming events. Modders and Reviewers should have a background in PC hardware and modding. All applicants must be at least 18 to be considered.

“I recently returned from Taiwan where I attended the Taipei Summer Computer I.T. Show. Among all the aisles of the latest computer gear, there were hundreds of new MP3 players. I saw many iPod clones, a variety of hard drive based models, and more pocket sized players than I can remember. Many new models have color screens and video capability, which I found to be mostly useless since they are usually too small to watch video and the player does not have enough memory to storage a large video file. Some players allow you to read e-books, although the screens are so small that you will need a magnifying glass. The main point is that many manufacturers are adding features and elements to their products to differentiate them in a crowded market. Mostly they are more expensive and have features that seem “cool”, but are not useful. A good MP3 player is all about audio. What I was looking for was a player with a cool design, easy to use, excellent sound quality, and is not full of features that I have to pay for, but will never use more than once. ”
