Installation of this wheel kit can be performed in just a few minutes if you have a compatible Lian-Li case, such as the PC-A7110 which already have pre-manufactured threads for the wheel base. All you have to do is remove the existing static case feet, line up the screw holes, and secure the wheel base to the bottom of your case with screws. Since the holes are pre-threaded there is no need for the included nuts.
If you don’t have a compatible case you can still install these wheels, but you must drill holes in the bottom of your chassis with a drill or dremel. I suggest laying down masking tape to prevent any damage to your case’s finish. Get out a pencil and ruler or T-square, and mark the center of the wheel base. Then find the center of your case bottom and draw a line lengthwise down the center. Then all you have to do is line up the pencil lines of the wheel base to the case. You just have to decide how far in the wheels should be. On my PC-A7110 case, the wheels are mounted 3 inches from the front and back of the case.
Once you have the placement of the wheels where you like, mark the screw holes with a pencil and drill away. Put one of the included screws in each hole, and secure from the inside of your case with the included anti-loosening washer and nuts.
Once the wheels are secure you can slip on a rubber ring onto each of the aluminum wheels. These “tires” not only provide traction on carpeted surfaces, they provide an anti-slip grip on smooth surfaces.
One great thing about the wheels is that they only move forwards and backwards, which is ideal for pulling a case out from underneath a desk. Other “free floating” wheels (like those on the Ultra m998 case reviewed here) have to be coaxed into alignment with a circular motion before the case will move in a single direction.
Case wheels are a great idea for any PC enthusiast, and the Lian Li WB-01 aluminum metal caster kit adds a professional touch which will certainly have others asking you where you got them. They can be a little difficult to find, as not every retailer carries them. I found mine at the Cooler Guys website right here.

Man these wheels are awesome! They make make case look that much beefier. They don't look good on a cheap case, just like spoilers look hideous on a Dodge Neon. Put them on a nice aluminum case for max effect
