Multiplayer or Xbox Live play for this game is decent, but it’s no party game. Multiplayer can be carried out as one-on-one or a doubles match. Really, the only way you can beat each other (since your character is doing the moving) is to beat your friend with the Wiimote so they delay their swinging, or push random buttons on their Xbox or PS3 controller so they miss the ball. If you didn’t catch the sarcasm: the multiplayer is total lamesauce.
If you are a die-hard tennis fan or Xbox achievement nerd, this game may be worth renting. But for the casual gamer, this is nothing spectacular. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the next awesome Wii tennis game.
