Some of Dell’s older LCDs had problems with back lighting, but, again, this is not the case with the 2405. Dell has definitely corrected that problem here. LCD quality control is obviously doing their job correctly as well, because I have yet to find a dead pixel either.

After a lot of testing and tweaking, my 13-page Oblivion Tweak Guide has finally been completed. My main aim in writing this guide was to sort out the fact from fiction by personally testing all the .ini file options and performance tweaks floating around and document only the safe, working ones; to accurately describe all the in-game settings correctly; and draw together all the available sources of optimization and troubleshooting information into a single reference source which will remain up to date as we find out more about this amazing game. There are no ‘magic’ tweaks which instanly double your FPS, but I genuinely believe that if you go through and follow the advice in the guide, your Oblivion experience will improve.

As you know, the nForce4 SLI x16 chipset allows two nVIDIA PCI Express videocards to run in SLI mode with each card receiving the full 16 PCI Express lanes. There is no bandwidth sharing between SLI videocards with this particular nForce chipset.

Go to the Start menu and then select Run. Type ‘services.msc’ in the Run Dialog Box and click on OK. In the services window double click on the service you wish to disable. In the properties box for the selected service choose disabled in the Startup Type dropdown box. Click on OK.

Thermaltake has another successful product on their hands with the Blue Orb II. The blue color of the cooling fins with the blue LED in the fan makes for a spectacular sight. The cooling efficiency of the Blue Orb II is amazing as well, running on average of 11 degrees Celsius cooler than the Stock Intel cooler.
