Intel Reveals Westmere 32nm Roadmap

Intel has unveiled most of what we wanted to know about their 32nm “Westmere” processors, and it looks like we have a fair amount to look forward to. In addition to the fact that we’ll be seeing GPU/CPU processors later this year, the company also threw in a few other surprises, such as the inclusion of new security-based instructions. The benefits of a low-TDP processor are obvious, but a usual downside is also obvious: low clock speeds. Intel’s changing that thinking with their Core 2 Quad “S” series, which includes the Q9550S, Q9400S and also the Q8200S. Compared to their non-“S” variants, they draw less power and run cooler, all while retaining the performance they’ve become known for.

Energizer recently released a trio of charging solutions for the current generation of gaming consoles. Today we will be looking at the Energizer Power Play Charging System for 360. This charging system for 360 controllers is made by gaming peripheral maker Performance Design Products and sold under the Energizer brand name. The Energizer Power Play Charging System for 360 allows up to two controllers to be charged simultaneously. Charging time is approximately two and a half hours. There is one caveat, batteries are not included and you will need to own a rechargeable battery pack made by Microsoft or use Energizer rechargeable batteries. All other rechargeable batteries and battery packs may or may not work with this system. Let’s take a closer look at this Energizer product and find out if you need to keep going and going past it or not.
