Ultra X-Connect 2 550W Power Supply

Now the X2 is definately a quality piece of machinery, but the website says the MSRP is 129.99. That’s quite a bit even for a monster such as that. So I looked around on the net, and without telling you (we don’t get no kickback) I did find this very power supply being sold from reputable dealers at a lower price.

The conclusion on this badboy is a positive one. While it is awful pretty to look at, the X2 is a power supply capable of taking on a massive yet steady workload. The heavy design lets the user know this thing is made well and the collection of power cables that you choose to install are of the nicest quality. Please note that this is the largest power supply I have ever seen and the neon blue light is wasted since my case does not have a window. If you are looking for an upgrade to your power, I have to say it does not get any better, just be sure your case can accomodate it’s size (5 7/8″w x 6 1/4″L x 3 1/2″H).

Quality	5	It’s frickin beautiful, the heavy, quality built and efficiently designed power supply is easily the one of the prettiest pieces of equipment ever to grace my dirty, dirty hands.
Performance	5	The X2 is off the charts in terms of performance, it can handle overclocking needs with a dedicated 12v rail specifically pumping directly to the processor. After that, everything is just milk and honey… Mmmmmm honey.
Installation	5	It is larger then other power supplies, so be aware before purchasing that you need to have the room, I did so it wasn’t an issue. The flexform cables that are supplied are of adequate length and with it’s unique, flat design, are made to be tucked away to improve air flow.
Aesthetics	5	Sexy, I now have an incredibly sexy power supply in my sexy Antec P180b case. The cables connect into the power supply tightly and securely. I’m getting excited just talking about it.
Value	4	Some places sell it for more, some sell it for less. This power supply is made for a specific type of computer user/modder. The price tag won’t even phase those interested in this type of power.
