During the installation I was disappointed because it was very difficult to install the HSF and the clip hurt my finger a lot. I would liked to have seen a better clip on this HSF however after trying about 10 times I finally got it on. Also always be sure to use a 3-4 pin adapter with this fan, it draws enough power to burn out one of your motherboard headers. Now for the testing.

Again like always I will be using the external thermal probe to take the temperatures. Also I will be using Artic Silver 3 rather than the “white goop.” I let the computer idle for about 30 minutes and took the readings. I then used Prime95 to torture test the CPU and bring it to its load temperature, here are the results.
Conclusion
Overall I would say this is a pretty good heatsink for your Socket A or Socket 370 CPU, however I would like to have seen a better clip on it. The fan as you may know is very loud but the noise produces good results. Also the fact that you get a free 3-4 pin adapter and thermal compound makes it a good buy for someone who may not have either of these.
