Zelda: Twilight Princess Review (Wii)

We are presented with as fine a launch title any console has had. This is truly one of the greatest games you could play this year. I have yet to complete this monster but reports are that the game could top 75 hours to complete, if that is so, then the Wii is throwing down the gauntlet to other console RPGs by saying eight to ten hours to beat! Nyah!

The game is incredible, the visuals are top notch, the storyline is an engaging one. If the kids are asking for a Wii this holiday season, then you may just have to get Zelda for yourself for being such a swell person. For working parents it could take you a long but glorious time to beat.

You can buy this game for the Gamecube but in my opinion, it won’t be the same game since the movements the player must do is really half the fun. Somebody was really at the helm when they were putting this title together. Sound 4 I know they took some liberties making the Wii, but that should not include the exclusion of a digital out port for some Dolby Digital fun. This game sounds good for only having the two standard stereo outputs. Swords clang, high adventure style accompaniment and some interesting language make the game sound good and original, but just think of what might have been… Longevity 5 It’s an adventure that takes some time t complete, massive boss battles, horse combat, adventure, excitement these are the things a jedi doesn’t crave but for the rest of us, it’s just what the Dr. ordered. Graphics 5 The PS3 has Resistance fall of man, the 360 has Gears of War, and the Wii has Zelda. THe game pretty much fils every nook and cranny the Wii has for processing power and then smooths it all over with a rainbow of color. The darkest dungeons, the brightest forests and the action never bogs down. Fun Factor 5 Again, this is why you are gonna want a Wii, with the new control schmatic and A+ title, this is the must have game for the Wii, bar none. FINAL VERDICT: 5 out of 5 stars
