Newsletter Subscriptions

The other day I had someone accuse me of being a spammer.  I asked for evidence, and they presented me with my newsletter… which just makes me laugh.

The OCModShop Newsletter is an opt-in list that is exclusive to other webmasters running tech or gaming sites, and we’re all (supposed to be) cordial and friendly with each other.  Ever since I’ve been using a newsletter management system, I have always provided a way for users to unsubscribe.  This complies with the CAN SPAM act of 2003… even though that act provides some loopholes for spammers, but I digress.

I have another mailing list for users, and that is handled through a third-party service which does things that my system can’t.  That list is also double-opt-in, and it is also very easy to unsubscribe.

There are so many ways to get the tech information you need from OCModShop.  You can subscribe to one of our many RSS feeds, sign up for our semi-weekly newsletter (using the simple form on the right), or just simply go to the main website.

I thank all of the people who have supported us.  And to the one person who was too lazy to hit the unsubscribe button; well you know what you and your mother can do.

Hi,

This is random but I noticed you're using Aweber's blog broadcast…have you seen http://feedmailpro.com? You might like it.

Hope it helps,
