Half Life 2 was really disappointing so I have to agree with you there. But there have been some other games that ended on the wrong foot….
Resident Evil 2 with it’s forced ending.
Quake 4 got pretty spotty towards the end.
Super Mario 64’s ending kind of sneaks up on you and then it’s over.
Some people really hated Halo 2’s ending, I didn’t but I know it was reviled by some.
Almost every ending to Dead or Alive 2 Hardcore went nowhere.
Soul Caliber on the Dreamcast failed to tell you anything when you beat through with a character.
Just writing this is begining to piss me off all over again. Friggin games…
