Assassin’s Creed III Walkthrough

After picking up the initial Frontiersmen side-mission ‘The Boy Who Cried Wolf’ you will be able to undertake these challenges. Note that they are retrospective as well, so if you have completed some of them prior to joining the club, you will find that once you do join, they have already been completed.

The challenges can be viewed and their progress tracked from the Logbook in the map menu. For convenience, I have listed them all below.

Without further ado, here are all the challenges:

Challenge Set 1:

Perform 10 Leaps of Faith
Leaps of faith are performed by jumping into hay bales, shrubs or water and you will probably have performed 10 of these before you become a member.

Reach 5 Viewpoints
Viewpoints are marked as an eagle icon on the map. Simply climb up to the designated location and hit the synchronise button to reveal the map. Do this 5 times to complete this challenge.

Discover 5 Underground Network Entrances
Once you have had your first run around in the underground in sequence 5, you will be able to explore and locate entrances to unlock fast travel points across the two major cities. finding five of these will satisfy the challenge. Discover the locations of all the forts
There are seven forts in Assassin’s Creed III that count towards this challenge. Have a look here [FTQSTS] for their locations.

Explore the canopy by traveling 100 meters
We have to travel 100 meters total through the tops of trees, you will probably have unlocked this prior to recieving the challenges!

Collect 5 feathers
You will find feathers scattered around the frontier. Simply collect five of them to complete the challenge. For a complete feather locations guide, look here: [CLTBFE].

For completing all of these challenges, you will recieve the second tier of challenges to try your hand at.

Challenges Set 2

Dive into the water from a height of 50 meters
No doubt there are several places to do this one. The easiest and quickest place I found to do it is in the John’s Town hunting region. Fast travel to the Frontier entrance to the Davenport Homestead and continue straight along the path to the west for a minute or two until you reach some buildings. Look along the cliffs to the east of these buildings to find a rocky outcrop with a fallen tree hanging over it. Jump from the end of this into the water below to complete the challenge.

Complete an Almanac
To complete an almanac, we need to recover four almanac pages. These can be found blowing around in Boston and New York. For a complete list of almanac page locations have a look here:[CLTBAL].
Climb a total of 1,500 meters
This is a cumulative count of how far you climb. You should get this challenge fairly easily with natural progression.
Discover the location of every Trading Post in the Frontier
There are three trading posts you need to visit in the frontier and you can find them in the following locations:

1. Concord – Next to the fast travel point in the Concord hunting region.

2. Lexington- In central lexington near the tavern.

3. Monmouth – In the group of buildings at the centre of the Eastern boundary of the Monmouth hunting region.

4. In addition to the general stores, there is also a travelling peddler on a wagon that cuts big laps around the map.
Listen to all of Washington’s conversations
You can find Washington walking around outside in the southern part of Western New York once the game has finished. Chat with him here. If it does not unlock here, return to sequence 9, part 1 and continue to talk to him until it becomes complete.

Again, for completing all of these challenges, you will recieve the next (and final) tier of challenges to try your hand at.

Reveal 100% of Boston’s Map
Self-explanatory, use the viewpoints to uncover the map and then explore any uncovered areas to reveal them on your map.

Reveal the whole Frontier Map
Self-explanatory, use the viewpoints to uncover the map and then explore any uncovered areas to reveal them on your map.

Reach all the Viewpoints
Viewpoints are marked as an eagle icon on the map. Simply climb up to the designated location and hit the synchronise button to reveal the map. Find and synchronise the map at all of them to complete the challenge.

Discover all of the Underground Network Entrances in New York and Boston
Once you have had your first run around in the underground in sequence 5, you will be able to explore and locate entrances to unlock fast travel points across the two major cities. You will have to find all of these to complete the challenge. There are 10 in Boston and 11 in new York. Visit every tavern in the Frontier, New York and Boston
The taverns appear as dice on the map. Most of these will be encountered during the main game or side missions, so be sure and enter each and every one you come across. Note that some liberation contact markers replace the tavern dice icon in some places.
