It’s designed to match with Sony’s digital living system (e.g. the XL# systems). You have to enable the DVD library feature, but it should work wonders. And you can daisy a whole boatload of them. Plus, since it’s 1394… it can be tucked out of sight.
Currently I personally have 770 GB of local to the media center storage and 1.5 TB of server storage. Although given the price of these, I might get them now.. but at the original $400 it wasn’t worth it compared to disk storage.
