Los Angeles, Calif. and Brisbane, Australia, October 23, 2006 – Pandemic Studios announced today the creation of a second development team at its Brisbane, Australia studios. With last week’s release of Destroy All Humans! ® 2, the much anticipated sequel to one of the best-selling original console games of 2005, Pandemic is poised to build on the success of its Australian operation, which has grown over its six year history from a dozen to nearly one hundred employees.

“Pandemic’s Brisbane studio has enjoyed great success with the Destroy All Humans! series and we are excited to build on our tremendous base of Australian talent with the addition of a second team,” said Josh Resnick, president of Pandemic Studios. “With the release of Destroy All Humans! 2, our Brisbane studio is now turning its attention to the development of brand new titles for next-generation gaming systems.”

To coincide with the retail release of Destroy All Humans! 2, Pandemic Studios also launched the Pandemic World News Web site. The site is a tongue-in-cheek alien conspiracy tabloid newspaper written by the game’s two lead writers. The community forums will feature frequent opportunities for fans of the game to interact directly with some of their favorite characters like Orthopox, Natalya, and of course, Crypto!

“The Brisbane studio had a blast creating Destroy All Humans! 2 and we’re looking forward to delivering the same unique Pandemic flavor to our fans in future games,” said John Passfield, creative director on Destroy All Humans! 2. “Giving fans the freedom to play the game their way is what we do best. The only limits to game-play are the gamers’ imagination.”

About Destroy All Humans! 2

Sequel to the widely acclaimed hit, Destroy All Humans! 2 takes the irreverent Sci-Fi action gaming experience into the swinging ‘60s with all new game features, expanded open-world gameplay and co-op multiplayer. Assuming the role of the Furon Scout – Crypto 138 – players will embark on a new mission to earth to take on the world of free love, the Cold War and other ‘60s era icons. Developed by Pandemic Studios for THQ Inc., Destroy All Humans! 2 offers players access to an upgraded arsenal of weapons and enhanced alien mental abilities while they battle a variety of new enemies from secret agents and giant creatures to Soviet forces and ninja warriors. Published by THQ, the title is available on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and Xbox® video game and entertainment systems from Microsoft for the suggested retail price of $39.99. http://www.destroyallhumansgame.com/
