1. Cisco-Linksys WEC600N Dual Band Wireless-N Ultra RangePlus Expresscard– This card is great. It will connect to pretty much any access point. It features High-speed Wireless-N (draft 802.11n) networking for your ExpressCard PCs. MIMO technology uses multiple radios per band to create robust signals for maximum range and speed, with reduced dead spots. Operates in the 2.4 and 5GHz radio bands — choose the one with least congestion in your area. Also connects to Wireless-G, -B, and -A networks. And it can be had for around $19.95 on Amazon.
2. D-Link DWA-652 Xtreme N Wireless Notebook Adapter – Another good card. I’ve had a few D-Link cards over the years, and have never had a bad experience. This one has the ability to draft 802.11n Speeds Up to 14x Faster than Wireless G. Wirelessly Stream HD Video, Share Files, and Go Online. Enable Superior Reception from Farther Distances. Backward Compatible with 802.11g Networks. You can score this one for about $13.00.
3. TrendNet Wireless N Express Card – I used this one personally for a while before replacing my internal card. I still keep it on hand just in case something else goes wrong with my laptop’s card. This card allows you to connect wirelessly with supercharged speed, range and reliability. Wireless speeds increase up to 300Mbps when connecting to TRENDnet Wireless N-Draft access points or wireless routers. This 802.11n device seamlessly connects to your wireless network without performance degradation. This one is a little more spendy, as the cheapest one I could find was over $50.00.
