Last but not least, the game still includes Aeons, only this time they are called “Espers”. Unlike Aeons, these Epsers are not named for mythological creatures. But, they still have some of the same attacks (ex. hellfire). Cut scenes for these attacks are still beautiful, as always. A fireball has never looked so damn good.
I tend to view games in the Final Fantasy series through rose-colored glasses, however this time it looks like I won’t need them. FF12 looks extremely promising. Already it is polished, has a great soundtrack, a compelling storyline, and an ingenious battle system. Now, along with all of the other Final Fantasy fans, I just have to wait for the game to arrive!
