Sharkoon 1337 XL Gaming Mat
techPowerUp! :: Monday, February 19, 2007
Sharkoon has released a refresh of their 1337 Gaming Mat series. The new pads have grown considerably and carry the XL label. The big downside of the original 1337 Gaming Mat was its small size. The new XL mouse pads still have the great quality and performance of their smaller variants, while keeping the price down – perfect for low sensitivity gamers.

Video games have become extremely popular with that comes many companies making specialized products aimed at the gamer market, mice and keyboards that are supposed to help your game out. There are good and bad products, we all know that not all products are created equal, some companies just try and make money off the latest trend by throwing something out to make some more money. Brando Optical USB Finger Mouse
Bona Fide Reviews :: Monday, February 19, 2007
Today we are taking a gander at Brando’s unique USB powered optical finger mouse. That’s right, a finger mouse. As far as finger mice go, this is the first and only one we at BFR have come across so it’s unofficially the world’s only finger mouse. The finger mouse is ideal for the mobile traveler that may not always have proper surface area to use their optical mouse on.
My experience with the Logitech VX Revolution
The Tech Lounge :: Sunday, February 18, 2007
“I bought the Logitech VX Revolution when I purchased my MacBook in the final days of 2006. I needed a notebook mouse and I’m extremely picky when it comes to pointer lag from wireless mice. The first wireless mouse I ever found to be better than a wired was the Logitech MX1000, which I can still tell has insanely small amounts of lag, but it is so close to a wired connection I can’t complain. The VX Revolution, on the other hand, is the first wireless mouse I have ever used which feels so responsive that I would never be able to tell the difference between it, and a wired version (if a wired VX Revolution existed). I haven’t used the MX Revolution, which is the desktop version of this mouse (with a couple more features), but I must say, the VX is the best [insert random expletive here] mouse I have ever used. Even though it’s built for portability, I could easy replace my MX1000 with the VX as my desktop mouse any day.”

In the years since then Razer have been producing mice which are more than a match for their competitors and the latest in the range is the DeathAdder, their first to feature a 3rd Generation optical lens. Razer don’t just make mice however and in recent times they have branched out into audio products, one of which we have been able to get our hands on. The Barracuda headset features true 5.1 capability and (more than a few) impressive specifications. Let us see how the DeathAdder and Barracuda impact our PC experience…
Brando Workshop 55-in-1 Card Reader Review
Think Computers :: Thursday, February 15, 2007
“Card readers are simple devices that are very helpful for Photographers and anyone who uses any type of card media. With all different devices using so many different types of memory cards it is a pain to have card readers for each different type of card. That is why card readers have become very popular. They can read many different types of memory cards and are powered by USB so they are easy to use and travel with. Today we will be looking at the mother of card readers, the Brando 55-in-1 card reader.”
Logitech Quickcam Ultra Vision Review
Techgage :: Thursday, February 15, 2007
If you frequently use a webcam and are looking for the best one available, I don’t think there will be many other choices than the Ultra Vision. It’s equipped with a large lens, comprised of five glass elements for the best image quality possible. When taking everything into consideration though, is it worth your $120?
Logitech diNovo Edge Review

“Just when we thought that Logitech had taken the keyboard to the penultimate design level with its DiNovo Desktop series, along comes the DiNovo Edge. ”
nMediaPC MCESKB RF Keyboard
Missing Remote :: Thursday, February 15, 2007
Designing a keyboard that can be all things to all people inexpensively is near impossible, but the nMedia MCESKB is a good compromise for most HTPC users. Usually, most of the daily HTPC operations will be carried out through the use of a remote control. Only the occasional debugging or web browsing session would require the use of a full keyboard. In those instances, this unit would fit the bill nicely. Due to the location of the left and right buttons, it is near impossible to play first person shooters without growing a 3rd hand. Other games which are primarily mouse based should work fine

Apple AirPort Extreme Review
Digital Trends :: Thursday, February 15, 2007
I was amazed with the distance I was able to cover without dropping any signal strength. 150 feet – full signal. 200 feet – full signal. 250 feet – a momentary dip, then back to full signal. 300 feet (I could barely see the AirPort Extreme by this point) – full signal. Another 20 feet and the signal dropped to almost nothing. I looked up from my laptop and discovered that several people had crossed into my path, directly between the base station and my laptop. I shooed them out of the way and the signal went back up to full strength. I kept walking and found that my signal finally dropped to half strength by the time I had passed 350 feet. “

Logitech NuLOOQ navigator Review
Techgage :: Tuesday, February 13, 2007
We are always on the look out for a tool that can help us work faster and more efficiently. Logitech’s NuLOOQ navigator promises a great deal of added functionality in a complimentary desktop tool, making it easier and more fun to use many applications. It’s not a mouse and certainly won’t take its place, you use it to compliment your mouse, NuLOOQ in one hand and your mouse in the other.
Pentax K10D Review
Digital Trends :: Tuesday, February 13, 2007
“This is a much-anticipated digital SLR. Not only does this new Pentax have a 10.2-megapixel CCD, it also has built-in Shake Reduction and a cleaning system to keep dust off the imaging device (and your prints). It’s also built to take a bit of beating since it’s weather resistant and has tight seals to keep dust out of the body. Not only that, it costs less than $1,000 with a lens, a very reasonable price but above the Sony alpha which has similar features (10MP CCD, image stabilization) but not nearly as rugged a body. It’s also more affordable than the 10MP Nikon D80 ($999, body only) that doesn’t have shake reduction. I was pretty excited taking this one out the box and couldn’t wait for the battery to charge. After sitting around for a few hours (no, we weren’t as bad as Southpark’s Eric Cartman waiting for the introduction of the Nintendo Wii) it was time to see how this new D-SLR performed. ”

Wi-Fi Skype Phones – ASUS AiGuru S1 vs. Netgear SPH101
Tweak Town :: Tuesday, February 13, 2007
“However, there is one drawback with Skype, you have to sit in front of your computer and use a headset to talk to people, hardly the most intuitive way of making a call. However, there are options available, ranging from cheap USB connected handsets which still keep you in close vicinity to your computer, to what we’ll be looking a bit closer to today, Wi-Fi enabled Skype handsets. You might wonder why you’d want a Wi-Fi telephone, although in this case it’s a lot more than just a simple telephone as you’ll see, but consider these handsets as a cordless phone and you’ll see why they’re so clever.
Logitech G5 Laser Mouse Review
Gamepyre :: Tuesday, February 13, 2007
The Logitech G5 Laser Mouse has a distinctive feel to it thanks to the adjustable weight system implemented with a cartridge. There is a Battlefield 2142 version of the mouse designed with BF 2142 in mind for $10 more. The negatives of this mouse are the lack of a left-handed version (the shape and feel of the mouse is not geared towards the lefties.) The bottom line on the Logitech G5 Laser Mouse is that it is a great mouse for First Person Shooters and a good mouse for those wanting a more solid feel to their mice. I give it a solid Gold Award as it is one of the best gaming mice on the market today.

How to Build a Wireless Network Using a Broadband Router
Hardware Secrets :: Monday, February 12, 2007
“More and more people are willing to assemble their own wireless network. With a wireless network set at your home or office, you will be able to share files, use the printer and access the Internet without the need of connecting a network cable to your computers. This is great if you have desktop computers located in places where is hard to install a network cable or if you want to have the freedom to access your network and the Internet using your laptop anywhere inside your home or office: you can carry your laptop from your bedroom or office to your living room and it will still be connected with no cables attached.”
