Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Bjorn 3d :: Monday, December 04, 2006
Imagine you are infiltrating a heavily defended facility. You watch the guards patrolling back and forth a hallway and think of the best way to bypass them with out being seen. One of them hears your breathing and investigates. Your heart races and your whole body shivers. You stay in shadows while he decides he imagined the whole thing… What do you do? Create advantage by shooting the lights out and sneak behind without even being noticed. Surprise them from behind and eliminate them one by one? Maybe climb up on a pipeline and creep quietly towards the guards eventually knocking them out from above. It is all up to you… one thing is for certain, going out of the shadows and shooting like crazy will not get you far, I promise you that.
Warhammer 40,000 Dark Crusade (PC)
Driver Heaven :: Monday, December 04, 2006
For almost two decades, millions of geeks all over the world have enjoyed the famous board game created by Rick Priestley that is known as Warhammer 40,000. These fictional battles carried out in dark murky basements with the help of dice always had an untapped potential to be an amazing video game that was only realized in September 2004 when Dawn of War was released by the pioneering developers Relic Entertainment. Gamers everywhere instantly fell in love with the fast and refreshing style of gameplay that was unique to the Warhammer trademark and thus, it wasn’t surprising to see a new expansion one year later called Winter Assault, adding the notorious Imperial Guard to the already numerous amount of races. But of course, the Canadian developers didn’t stop there and as a result, we are blessed with their latest game based on the sci-fi universe; Warhammer 40,000: Dark Crusade.

Neverwinter Nights 2 Tweak Guide
Tweak Guides :: Monday, December 04, 2006
Given my fondness for D&D, and after a fair bit of research and testing, I’ve compiled this a Neverwinter Nights 2 Tweak Guide to help NWN2 players hopefully achieve better results with the game. The guide runs through clear descriptions and comparative screenshots of all in-game settings, including the new ones added as of the latest (beta) patch, as well as all the .ini file settings which allow further customization and optimization, and of course the console commands and a few neat tips to wrap things up.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Bytesector :: Monday, December 04, 2006
“Comic books, games, movies, action figures; Marvel is pretty much everywhere these days. For the most part, Marvel-licensed products are indeed quality products, though they do have their occasional slipups from time to time, with movies like the box office flop Elektra or ill-fated games like Marvel Nemesis. The new title on the market, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance hopes to fall into the former of those two categories of Marvel products rather than the latter. ”
RoboBlitz PC Game Review ![]()
Dragonsteel Mods :: Monday, December 04, 2006
” We are all eagerly awaiting the release of Unreal Tournament 2007, while we wait we can get a nice preview of what’s yet to come from some of the games developed on the new Unreal3 engine. One such game is RoboBlitz, which I have for review today. In my humble opinion, one word can really sum up this game and that word is ‘Beautiful’. RoboBlitz not only utilizes the new technology of the Unreal3 engine but also features Aegia PhysX software based physics to add an extra dimension of game play. Yes it uses PhysX but don’t worry, you don’t need a separate card to play RoboBlitz. I found RoboBlitz to be a lot of fun and very addictive, and a game with really no faults. So read on to learn a lot more about RoboBlitz, and check out all the screen shots and in game movies I have for you… ”

Dark Messiah Might and Magic Review
Gamepyre :: Sunday, December 03, 2006
Dark Messiah Might and Magic is not for everyone, but I had a lot of fun playing the game. The combination of the action adventure game ala Tomb Raider with RPG elements ala Might and Magic works for me. The game has a few “wow” moments like when you first fight the Cyclops one on one and figure out you aren’t doing any damage with spells or weapons. Replay ability in the game is pretty good. You can play the game as a fighter, a mage an archer as your primary focus, and then replay the game using different skills. The game also has a couple of places where a choice can affect the outcome.
Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged Volume 1 (Xbox 360) review
Driver Heaven :: Sunday, December 03, 2006
“The Xbox Live Arcade has proven to be a viable source for entertainment throughout the Xbox 360’s debut year. These relatively cheap titles can keep you on the edge of your seat from five minutes to five hours, and it’s clear that this revolution has made a noticeable impact in the gaming industry. With that being said, Microsoft decided to package six popular XBLA titles along with one month free of Xbox Live into a package known only as Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged Volume 1.”

Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra (PS2)
Driver Heaven :: Sunday, December 03, 2006
Although it was originally planned to span across six games, Monolith Software’s Xenosaga series came to a surprise ending with the release of Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra. In order to answer all of the lingering questions that the first two titles left us wondering, you can rest assured knowing that this release is packed with tons of cinematics and plot driven dialog to finish off one of the most engaging storylines in video game history. While there is certainly a ton of information to be taken in here, long time fans can expect this trilogy to finish off on a strong note.
