Sony: PS3 Issues ‘Resolved’, 1mil By End Of 2006
Sony :: Tuesday, December 12, 2006
On the heels of video game hardware and software U.S. sales numbers for November released yesterday by NPD, Sony’s PR head David Karraker has issued a statement noting that the company is “very pleased” with the data, adding that manufacturing problems that ham stringed the production of the PlayStation 3 at launch “have been resolved.”

Top 5 Wii Downfalls
Techgage :: Monday, December 11, 2006
It’s no surprise that the Wii is doing well. It’s sold many, many units and is still in extreme demand. Does this mean the Wii is -all- it’s cracked up to be? I have compiled a small list of areas where the Wii fails and should be improved.

Just Cause PC Game Review
Gamepyre :: Monday, December 11, 2006
Just Cause can be a ton of fun for the right type of gamer, as I am aware many people have gotten sick of most of the GTA style games, me included. It seems that such games are always the same thing over and over, all about being a ‘gangsta’, and glorifying that particular lifestyle. This one definitely stands out above all the others, and takes a new approach to the open world game. Overthrowing an oppressive and corrupt government is a lot of fun without constantly having to do drive by shootings to pass the time. From that first moment you jump out over San Esperito and meet up with your friends on the ground, this game can suck you in.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Knights of the Nine (PC CD-ROM)
Barry’s Rigs ‘n’ Reviews :: Monday, December 11, 2006
“An ancient Sorcerer-King returns from the depths of Oblivion with a demonic army to take vengeance against the Gods who banished him and spread darkness throughout the land. Only a hero who is pure of heart can recover the lost relics of the Divine Crusader who once defeated the Sorcerer-King and use them to save Tamriel from destruction and restore the Knights of the Nine.”

Neverwinter Nights 2
Driver Heaven :: Monday, December 11, 2006
When you buy a game you typically expect about 20 or so hours of enjoyment from it. Occasionally you will get lucky and get around 50 odd hours out of a game. It’s fair to say that spending years on NWN with the countless (free) modules that were available on the internet and the very robust online component was (and still is) easier than one might think. Slap on the toolset that the authors themselves used to create the game on top and you got possibly the best bang for your buck ever!

Xbox Live Arcade Challenge Heats Up the Holidays with Small Arms and Lumines Live!
Microsoft :: Monday, December 11, 2006

1st Official HD-DVD drive for PCs more Expensive than Xbox360 HD-DVD Addon
Xbox-Scene :: Saturday, December 09, 2006
Buffalo will be launching the HDV-ROM2.4FB at the end of this month. Officially this HD-DVD drive (OEMed by Toshiba) will be the world’s first HD-DVD drive for PCs. Some high-end PCs already shipped with HD-DVD drives, but until now it was impossible to buy any ATAPI HD-DVD drives sold independently for PCs. Next to HD-DVD discs, the device will of course also read all previous formats: DVD±R/RW, DVD±R/R DL, DVD-ROM and CD-R/RW/ROM. The device will retail for about 38850JPY, thats ~337usd/254eur. Seems a bit expensive considering the Xbox 360 HD-DVD Addon is already available right now for just 199usd and can be used in Windows Vista (natively) and Windows XP (with some special drivers) too. The only thing missing in the Xbox360 HD-DVD package is PC software to playback HD-DVD movies. The Buffalo drive comes with PowerDVD HD-DVD Edition.
