You may have noticed that the front page layout is slightly different. We noticed that the external news was taking up an awful lot of space (about 3 times more than our own article announcements), so we moved them to the bottom of the page in columns. This also improves load times by removing ads, images, and bloated table layouts.
When you see something that interests you, click the headline and you’ll be whisked away to the magical land where all of your questions are answered.
This changes our original “3-column” layout to a more modern “2-column” layout, which is where the site will be going. For now, many of the inner pages remain unchanged, because we’re working on rolling out a brand new layout.
This new front page is just a taste of the changes coming to OCModShop. We’re rewriting the entire site from scratch to load faster, be more efficient, and utilize the latest web technologies.
