For all of this protection, this case costs a pretty penny. For two hundred dollars you could have almost any type of laptop case there is (Coach doesn’t make a laptop case, do they?).
I enjoy carrying magazines, textbooks, ipods, pens, homework, and the like in my laptop case. In the Otterbox case there isn’t room for me to tote all of my necessities. The only uses I can think of for this case are if you are checking in your laptop at the airport, backpacking or hunting with a laptop, taking your laptop to the beach, wading in the Amazon with your laptop, writing your next dissertation at your archaeological site, or reporting from Iraq in the midst of the war.
Okay okay, I’m sure there are people doing all of these things, and for them, this laptop case would be a practical purchase. However, for most students and business people in an office, there is no practical reason to wear out your arms and wallet with this case.
