The North American regional final of Gigabyte’s GO OC 09 overclocking championship took place this past weekend in the City of Industry, and we were there to take it all in. Although no world records were broken, no one disagrees that it was an exciting event, and the result is one lucky overclocker who’s now getting ready to head to Taipei for the final.

People want to know why these guys overclock. The answer isn’t quite as technical or surprising as you might think. More than half started overclocking to keep up with the more advanced video games which caused their frame rates to drop below what they felt were acceptable. The benefit of overclocking gave them the extra performance they needed and postponed the need to upgrade to a faster system.

I’ve taken a look at a lot of accessories for my phone, an AT T Tilt, but none quite like the one I have today. It’s from our friends at USBFever and it’s called the In Car Handsfree for HTC Phones, now my phone might be called a Tilt, but it’s an HTC device in reality, so it works fine with it, along with many other HTC brand phones as well. This product is one that I like quite a bit really, I was surprised by just how much functionality it offers.
