Boynq D’Light USB Light

Boynq markets the D’light as a way to “set the mood”. Personally, I have never had someone trying to get it on set me in a computer chair, click on a USB light, and cue the Marvin Gaye. If you’re a dude looking for a way to seduce a chick, I’m pretty sure no USB light it going to make up for your lack of personality or looming computer tower. And if you’re a chick trying to seduce a dude… wait… what!?

Alright. Enough with the smut. The Boynq D’light is one of the weirdest USB gadgets I have ever used….and the least useful. Besides being used as a mood starter, the D’light is supposed to illuminate your keyboard to make those late night term papers easier on the eyes.

D’Light Description

The d’Light is the only famous USB light for your notebook and yes you have seen it right, it’s a lampshade on a USB lights.  What better way to transform the powerful LED light into a smooth enjoyable mood glow?

As all other boynq products the d’Light stands for guaranteed quality as the ultra bright white LED allows you to see every key on your notebook crystal clear even in the darkest nights.

Key features:

  • USB light with real lampshade
  • Ultra bright white LED light
  • USB powered, no AC adapter required
  • Flexible metal wire, 30cm.
  • Easy to operate on/off switch

That’s right, this sucker comes with a real lampshade and a bendy wire. AND an on/off switch. It’s simply amazing. In fact, I haven’t thought of anything this useless since… since…ahh geez. Nothing is coming to mind. This gadget, really, is simply useless.

The D’light is a wee lamp at the end of a wire. It has a small on/off switch that is easy to use, but if you have fat fingers, you’re screwed. Looks like a lot of Dutch gadgets depend on you having tiny fingers. Too bad they’re marketing so much of their product in the McDonald’s loving US.

It’s easy to plug in and easy to use. The lampshade only comes in the nice 1970’s burnt orange color. There is no sex distinction for this Boynq gadget, so orange is what we get. The light is bright enough to do what it’s supposed to: light up your keyboard. In a pitch dark room, I can still see all of the keys. Obviously, a ninja or hot gaming vampire would never pick up a Boynq D’light.

For less than twenty dollars I could maybe see someone picking this up if they have a hard time seeing in the dark. However, I could think of many better things to buy for twenty bucks, including a few more Big Mac’s. Girls… if you ever see a guy pull out a Boynq D’light after turning out the lights….run like hell.
