So, I’ve been having problems with my home server (network jack acting flaky), so I decided to replace the motherboard (faster processor, etc).
Sometimes Windows Server 2003 will just pick up the new hardware and run with it, but no bootie… blue screen of death every time. No problem, and is to be expected. So I need to reinstall Server, no big whoop.
So I’m installing Server, and it cannot identify the previous system drive without losing all of my data…. soooo I popped the drive into an external USB enclosure and am currently backing up the data before I reintall server. It will be at least a few hours before I can even begin the install process.
I’m in for a looooooooooong night…
