Samples were already delivered to AMD’s partners last week and many companies will likely have R600 live demos on display at CeBIT. The Radeon X2900XT (codenamed Cats Eye also measuring 9.5” but with GDDR3 memory and reduced clock speeds about 15% below XTX) will hit shop shelves on 19th of April. Dragons Head 2 is actually already well into production and product will be delivered to AIB’s in just a few days from now. After a grand total of 13 revisions, it seems like AMD have finally got things right and are satisfied with production output – revision A13 it is.”

Just like the iFlash+ 120mm which I reviewed earlier this week the Blue Orb FX features one of the new LED fans from ThermalTake which display information onto the fan blades. The BlueOrb FX is even a bit more advanced, it doesn’t only show the real-time temperature and a rotating ThermalTake logo, it also shows the noise level. The AMD 690’s best features are the built in support for HDMI andDVI right from the graphics logic; though the Asus model test here doesn’thave HDMI, it does have DVI with HDCP support.
