ThermalTake Tai-Chi M+ notebook cooler review

DV Hardware :: Friday, March 30, 2007
ThermalTake is pretty famous for its cooling products, cases and power supplies. In this review I take a look at their new Tai-Chi M+ notebook cooler, this product is designed for widescreen notebooks and besides making them run less hot it should also improve ergonomics a bit. The cooler slighly raises the laptop , making it a bit easier to type and to view the LCD display of your system.

Fanotec Nodal Ninja 3 Spherical Tripod Head Review
XYZ Computing :: Friday, March 30, 2007
Spherical tripod heads, like the Nodal Ninja, do not resemble spheres. In fact, they usually have more than one straight pieces and look almost like a modern version of the navigation equipment one would find on a 17th century galleon. The “spherical” element is the concept that the tripod head holds the camera in a particular position in space that allows it to rotate about its exact entrance pupil. When this entrance pupil becomes the axis of rotation in every direction, the camera’s lens becomes a segment of a sphere. When the photographer uses the spherical tripod head to rotate the camera about its entrance pupil in between exposures, each exposure can become a curved “tile” within a digital spherical representation of the entire environment. The smaller the focal length, the larger this tile will be, so wide-angle lenses require fewer exposures to complete an entire scene.

Saitek Pro Gamer Command Unit Review
Overclockers Club :: Friday, March 30, 2007
“After realizing the unit is not capable of customization, the second thing people have noted is “Why?” This is a valid question that I haven’t come up with a solid answer for despite the fact I have had a lot of time with this gadget. It really is tough to defend this question because the Pro Gamer is a niche item that anyone can do without. The more time I spent with it the more people asked the magic question. “Why?” Well I’m not sure but I have become agitated the more I hear it. It makes me feel like Edward Furlong in Terminator 2 when Arnie repeatedly asks why things are the way they are. “I just don’t know why ok Governor?” It’s pretty tough to defend something that offers no new features, takes up a USB port and may make you the center of ridicule if you break it out.”

Thecus N2100 NAS Review
Techgage :: Friday, March 30, 2007
If you are looking for a quality NAS, the N2100 from Thecus is worth your consideration. It can act as a music and photo sharing hub and even an FTP server, among others. Though, the best part might be it’s price.

Lognetmedia ML-903 ICON 2000DPI Laser Mouse Review
Overclockers Club :: Tuesday, March 27, 2007
“So the claim of “80 clicks in 10 seconds” seems very optimistic, but after using this mouse in many games and applications, I think this rate of clicking would be possible if you had almost super-human clicking abilities. That is to say, the primary and secondary mouse buttons have a “hair trigger” response that require less force than my Logitech MX518 or Microsoft Intellimouse Explorerer 3.0. This proved itself useful in Rainbow Six: Vegas when I had one of the weapons on single shot rate-of-fire, with a silencer, and needed to take out a few enemies at once. It certainly shone here as an incredibly accurate and lightning-fast mouse for first-person shooter (FPS) games.”

Sony Cybershot DSC-T100 Review
Digital Trends :: Tuesday, March 27, 2007
“Sony revolutionized the world of ultra-thin digicams with its very popular T series. Although Casio, Nikon, Kodak, Pentax and others try to match them, they always seem to fall a bit short. I’ve always loved the sliding front door that powers-up the camera. And although this design has been around for a few years, it’s still as fresh as ever. The DSC-T100 is the latest edition and it has a number of new features we wanted to try out including higher 8.2MP resolution, a more powerful zoom, a better processor and Face Detection–the new setting almost all camera makers are touting in 2007. Now does all this add up to something special or just more of the same? Let’s find out. “

Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 Review
XYZ Computing :: Monday, March 26, 2007
The Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000 is a high performance keyboard and mouse combination that is currently Microsoft’s flagship hardware product, at least until the Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 arrives (later this year). This kit pairs Microsoft’s brand new keyboard design with their top-shelf mouse, the Wireless Laser Mouse 8000. Throw in some very cool design, a lot of innovative features, and Bluetooth connectivity and Microsoft is betting they have a product that can’t miss.

Foot Pedal Mod for Rotary Tools
Metku Mods :: Monday, March 26, 2007
“For time to time, one comes up with a killer idea for modding that doesn’t cost much and improves the original product in ways such as looks, usability, functionalty or all these combined. I believe this following mod fits at least one of those categories. For me, this has been a true life saver even though I came up with the idea just only couple of days ago. I hope that you will find this little project worth doing for and get all the benefits out from it like I did.”

Ideazon Merc Gaming Keyboard Review
Overclockers Club :: Sunday, March 25, 2007
“You may be able to remember the days when computerized gaming was very simplistic. Most games consisted of a two dimensional maze, a simple character, and a very finite mission objective. Game play was quite elementary. The only interface equipment you needed was a four-way directional joystick and a fire button. Since the development of the 3 dimensional graphics engine and hardware to support it, the game environment has taken on an unprecedented realism. This interface has had to incorporate much more complex functionality and allow the user lightning fast reaction. Your interface equipment now spells the difference between being on the top of the points standing with bragging rights or ending up in the mediocre middle of the road. To this end there are a number of manufacturers that continue to try to develop the ultimate gaming controller. Ideazon is one of those companies.”

A4Tech KIP(S)-800 IP-Talky VoIP Keyboard/Phone
Review Desk :: Sunday, March 25, 2007
“I’m wondering why A4Tech decided to use a discreet sound solution rather than just passing things through to an external solution. Considering that just about any motherboard you could ever get your hands on has sound on-board, and many people buy discreet sound cards, having another sound solution on a keyboard shouldn’t be on anyone’s ‘must-have’ list. All it does is add potential complications — if you want to use the IP-Talky with a program that doesn’t allow you to select your audio device (unlikely, but possible) you could be stuck having to enable/disable your sound solutions in the device manager on a much-too-frequent basis.”

GoldenMars 1GB GeeDom GU-P05 USB Flash Drive Review Posted
Tech ARP :: Sunday, March 25, 2007

Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 8000 Review
XYZ Computing :: Saturday, March 24, 2007
While Microsoft currently offers a full range of mice (gaming, ergonomic, portable, etc.) their specialty has always been general use equipment. These are items that work well under almost any circumstances but are not designed with a specific purpose. Most often these are found used in the home or office environment, but some are able gamers or have other strengths. The WLM 8000 is a high-end version of the general use mouse and is not much different from a few of Microsoft’s other mice. It has upgrades- like a laser sensor, Bluetooth connectivity, and a rechargeable base- but is fundamentally the same.

Palm Treo 750 Review
Digital Trends :: Thursday, March 22, 2007
“The 750 is saddled with a bloated price: $399.99 with a two-year contract and including a $100 rebate, but $649.99 if you’re not buying or extending your Cingular plan. Considering the $499/$599 pricing on the 4GB and 8GB iPhones due in June or the similarly-spec’d Samsung Blackjack at $199.99 w/contract or $499.99 w/o contract, it’s hard to justify opting for the 750.”

Five things Microsoft needs to do to fix the Zune
Xbox-Scene :: Thursday, March 22, 2007
From engadget.com (http://www.engadget.com/2007/03/20/five-things-microsoft-needs-to-do-to-fix-the-zune/ ):
We’re not trying to hate, but we think it’s about time Microsoft acknowledged that the ball’s been dropped — and then pick it back up. Stop promising bug fixes and vaporous new features, and stop talking about future Zune products when the current product is ailing. Here are five simple things Microsoft should do to fix the Zune right now, and even make it into a somewhat aggressive contender in one of the most cutthroat gadget categories. In order:

1. Fix the DRM, syncing, and system bugs, and get firmware v1.3 out the door! 2. Add useful WiFi features: wireless streaming to friends, Zune Pass (subscription) song transfer to friends’ Zunes (? la MusicGremlin), computer-free downloads content downloads. 3. Add podcast and vidcast support. It doesn’t even have to be as comprehensive as the iTMS, just a basic RSS reader / enclosure scraper or something. 4. Increase codec support. Go out on a limb and add open (read: free) codecs like FLAC, APE, OGG, XviD; if you really want to make your customers happy, belly up to the bar and license DivX. 5. Drop the price. For most consumers, there is still a huge mental barrier in paying $250 for a Zune when you can pay the same $250 for an iPod. One isn’t necessarily better than the other, but people really love the iPod. Make it $230 MSRP, and let that sink down to like $210 for online retailers. People will freak out that this player, that does all these things it does, is barely more than two bills.
Top Tip: Smart U3 drive to non-U3 drive?
Extremetech :: Wednesday, March 21, 2007
So my questions are : If I uninstall the U3 software is it really impossible to re-install it? is this just the company trying to scare me (such as windows warning messages when you stop a background process through the Task Manager?) or is there a way to uninstall the software now and then re-install it when ( if ) the software gains compatibility with OSX?

Logitech MX Revolution Review
Extreme OC Tech :: Wednesday, March 21, 2007
“We really wanted to get our hands on the MX Revolution and after testing and playing with it using it during normal use and gaming we have come to a conclusion that this is one of the best, most comfortable PC mice we have ever used. It is a great mouse for HTPC, Office Work or Web Browsing. We did use the MX Revolution for gaming and it was decent!”

FireWire vs USB
Tech Nibble :: Wednesday, March 21, 2007
“Life would have been easier without choices, wouldn’t it? Sure it might be dull, but at least we wouldn’t have to choose, occasionally make mistakes, and suffer the consequences. It happens all the same in the IT world, where we occasionally have to choose between one and another, be it between Intel and AMD, NVIDIA and ATI, or in the case of this article; FireWire and USB.”

nMedia 2.4GHz RF Wireless Keyboard for the Digital Lounge
Tweak Town :: Wednesday, March 21, 2007
“We’ve been covering some newer products lately that are aiming at a new niche market, the HTPC. Today’s offering also falls into that category, but may also be desirable to a wider market segment. Specifically, we will be taking a look at a wireless keyboard. While created for the home entertainment arena, I can see many who would find this type of product more than just a little interesting.

nMedia is a company created in 2004 with the firm desire to address the entertainment center market group. We have recently taken a look at one of their HTPC enclosures and it fared well. Of course, past accolades won’t have any bearing on today’s article.”

Logitech MX Revolution Wireless Laser Mouse Review
Overclockers Club :: Wednesday, March 21, 2007
“The MX Revolution is the third Logitech mouse that I have had the opportunity to review, the others being the G5 and the G7. While this mouse shares many characteristics with those two, there are some impressive improvements with this one, including some new technology. On the other hand, there are some areas that, in my opinion, could be tweaked a little in order for this mouse to be almost perfect.”

So what makes the Alto different from the rest of the notebook stands available? A quick glance will reveal most of the important details. The main one is the integrated keyboard. This is full keyboard, with number pad, built right into the Alto. (In fact the product appears in the keyboard section of Logitech’s web site.) The next important thing to notice is the size- this is not a toy that slightly elevates the rear your notebook, it is a full-sized tool that is 19.1″ deep when opened (9.3″ deep closed). Other features include hotkeys and a USB 2.0 hub. The coolest details might just be that the fact that the unit can fold in half for traveling. It hard to call something this big “portable” but it can be moved from place to place easily and does not require external power, so it can be easily transported.

Olympus SP-550 UZ Review
Digital Trends :: Monday, March 19, 2007
“We’ve all heard the jokes and seen the cute ads about how bigger is better. Since this is a decidedly G-rated site, our discussion of the biggest one out there has to do with mega-zoom digital cameras. In this case it’s the 7.1-megapixel Olympus SP-550UZ, a compact point-and-shoot digicam with an 18x optical zoom that’s equivalent to a very wide 28mm to a whopping 504mm in 35mm terms. No other model comes close to this; the very popular 6MP Canon PowerShot S3 IS and Sony CyberShot DSC-H2/H5 have 12x zooms with typical ranges of 36-432mm. For the record, Sony just announced updates to its H series, the DSC-H7 and –H9 which will have 15x optical zooms and 8MP resolution (they’re due in April for $400 and $80, respectively). Still the Olympus is the proverbial king of the hill when it comes to mega zooms and we were anxious to try it out.”

Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse Review
OCIA :: Monday, March 19, 2007
“What makes it even better is the different ways you can switch modes. You can press down on the scroll wheel at any time to switch between Click-to-Click and Free Spin mode. Even more interesting, the MX Revolution can detect the type of application that is currently active and adjust the scroll wheel according. Also, the wheel can automatically detect how “fast” you spin the wheel; if you spin it fast enough, it will automatically switch over to Free Spin mode then lock back into Click mode by itself! Of course, all of this can be fine-tuned in the SetPoint options seen above.”

Three Revoltec Gaming Pads reviewed
Burnout PC :: Friday, March 16, 2007
“All three pads performed as they should. Coming up with new types of mouse pads is hard, Revoltec hasn’t succeed in that but they do offer three remarkably cheap gaming surfaces that look and perform great. As I said in the XTracPads Ripper XXL mouse mat review and from then on. It’s not a matter of finding a good mouse pad, since there are so many available, but it’s a matter of price. The highest quality, for the lowest price. Both the Basic and Advanced do not stand out compared to many other available mouse pads, but the Advanced does.”

Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 Review
XYZ Computing :: Wednesday, March 14, 2007
Like with the Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000, Microsoft tried to improve comfort and reduce strain without reinventing the device. Any departure that is too far from the norm tends to be dismissed by consumers, which is why ergonomic mice have had so much trouble catching on, but the 6000 is more of a tweak to the classic mouse than it is a reinvention. What it does is rotate your hand so that the thumb and index finger are lifted off of the desktop. This means your hand is slightly tilted and stress is relieved on the carpal tunnel and wrist. The overall effect should be improved comfort and decreased chance of a repetitive stress injury.

AVB USB 2.0 Mobile 4GB Drive
Bjorn 3d :: Tuesday, March 13, 2007
It is certainly no secret that many of the larger companies in a quest to keep their computer systems secure have chosen to give their personnel USB flash drives. These flash drives can be programmed to allow everything from minimum to full access to the company’s network. Flash drives ranging in size from 256 MB to a whopping 8 GB are not limited to business use either! Think of the removable memory you use daily in your digital camera, cell phone, and PDA just to name a few. Please don’t confuse flash drives with some of their mini hard drive counterparts which began to appear on the market about a year ago. NAND Flash memory is actually an EEPROM chip that stores the data electronically, has no moving parts, and is much more impervious to data loss through damage than these mini spinning disks are.

We were recently contacted by AVB, a subsidiary of Anko/American Anko, a company that is well known for making precision gaming controllers and other high tech electronic devices. AVB explained that they had a brand new dual channel, SLC flash drive with a 4GB capacity that they felt we’d really enjoy reviewing. After reading their specs we agreed! Today we’ll find out if the specs transcend from paper to the finished product, the AVB USB 2.0 Mobile Drive.

Sungale Your Bluetooth Link! Car Kit Review
Big Bruin :: Tuesday, March 13, 2007
e Sungale Your Bluetooth Link! Car Kit could be just the thing for anyone looking for a low cost way to add the convenience and safety of a Bluetooth speaker phone to their car. Cyber Snipa Tracer Mouse Pad
Modders Inc. :: Tuesday, March 13, 2007
A mouse pad, or mouse mat, is a surface for enhancing the movement of a computer mouse. That is the definition from the Wikipedia encyclopedia on the internet. Now, with that definition in mind, we’ll see how a company can enhance the mouse movement. After doing some reading, I found out it could be quite elaborate. The enhancements can range from special surfaces to unique lighting effects. With this review we will be looking at a mouse pad that has both: the Cyber Snipa Tracer Mouse Pad.

Toshiba Portege M400 Tablet Review
XYZ Computing :: Tuesday, March 13, 2007
This review will be looking at Toshiba’s Portege M400, their tablet most closely related to the M6. Looking at the two we can see that the two have much in common and despite a few changes to the components (Toshiba uses a number of different SKUs for each model, this being the M400-S4032) there is not much to differentiate one from the other. Despite the M400’s seemingly bland exterior (and spec sheet), Toshiba is one the industry’s more popular tablet manufacturers. Their upcoming R400 is one of the most highly anticipated tablet PCs ever and other models have strong followings. Up to this point Toshiba has not focused on innovation with their tablets so much as they have price and dependability, as we will see with the M400.

Logitech diNovo Edge Review
Extreme OC Tech :: Tuesday, March 13, 2007
“There are a few things to get use to like the keypad missing, The built in mouse works pretty good! I wouldn’t say it is a great replacement for a desktop mouse. Like we said this keyboard is hot! and is geared more for the people we will use it with a HTPC system more then a desktop system. Not saying you can’t use it with a desktop system but it would look hot sitting on the coffee table next to the Logitech Harmany 1000 remote tho!”

Palm Treo 700p Review
Project PDA :: Tuesday, March 13, 2007
“Although the 700p sports the same 312MB processor it does have add a considerable, and much needed, amount of memory going from 23MB to 60MB. This nice upgrade will allow you to store more data on the device instead of an annoyingly inconvenient (and easily lost) memory card. Another much needed upgrade is the new 1.3MP camera, which is considerably better than the VGA camera that comes with the 650.”

Creative Fatal1ty 1010 Mouse Review
Gamepyre :: Monday, March 12, 2007
The Fatal1ty 1010 mouse from Creative is an interesting contrast to the Logitech G5 Laser mouse I reviewed a month ago. The first thing is the size of the mouse being much smaller than the G5. After a short adjustment period the mouse worked just as well in heft to the G5. The weight modules are more configurable on the G5 meaning that you have more choice which is always better than limited choice.

XTracPads Accessories reviewed
Burnout PC :: Monday, March 12, 2007
“The goodies XTracPads send me were really effective in making my mousing experience a lot better. The MouseGrips are something that I use daily on my MX510, and I won’t take them off ! Their great. Looking at the MouseDotz, it’s just a matter of preference, their pre-cut and fairly thin so they should stay on your mouse for a long while, but teflon tape works just as good and comes with any mouse pad you buy, also with a XTracPads. The Instaglide does make your mouse glide better, but it also requires constant swiping of the bottom every few days so I wouldn’t really want to do that. But yeah it works. Overall three nice products, I was most impressed by the MouseGrips.”

Blackberry Pearl
CDR Info :: Monday, March 12, 2007
It is a great phone, an amazing email device, a capable media player and a wonderful web surfer. The screen is beautiful, the Trackball is a joy to use (much better than a jog dial or D-Pad) and the Suretype keyboard works great. As good or better than the Treo and way beyond the Blackjack and the Q. Overall a highly suggested mobile device.

“The product itself is a simple idea, and works for most laptops you find, from 14″ widescreens to 17″ models, though it many not cover the entire laptop or may cover too much of it. The other nice aspect about it is that it angles the keyboard up so that it seems to provide a more ergonomic feel.”

Microsoft Zune Review
The Tech Lounge :: Wednesday, March 07, 2007
“After several weeks of daily use I’ve certainly formed more than one opinion about the Zune. Of course there are endless product reviews of the Zune available on the interweb, already… But with this review I’ll try to not only cover the basic features and usability of Microsoft’s little brown brick but my impression of the player as a whole, why and who should buy one, and if it lives up to its great white competitor.”

Razer DeathAdder Mouse
RBMods :: Wednesday, March 07, 2007
While there are alot of good mice on the market, they can still be improved upon. Razer has been making gamer mice since I started with computers and that is some time ago, and they have still been able to stay on the market due to their high quality gaming mice. We got a sample of their DeathAdder mouse for testing tonight, it has some improved specs compared to the older mice they have released and a more sensitive laser so it’s going to be interesting to see how well this compares to the older mice.

Review: Alienware Aurora m9700 Laptop Review
Hardware Test :: Tuesday, March 06, 2007
“Think a rewrite of the “bang for the buck” proverb is in order. “Bling, and not so much bang for the buck” would be a fair statement for the Aurora m9700. The Alienware name is a statement all on its own. I brought it to class, and not a moment passed before the comment “An Alienware… wow” was heard. It gives you are feeling most hardware enthusiasts would gladly pay money for.

As clearly stated in the graph, the Alienware Aurora m9700 is leading the pack by a serious margin. It is simply way better equipped for gaming than most other laptops. The other laptops have decent specifications and receive fair scores considering that they are laptops. In 3DMARK 03 the other laptops score about 8000, while the m9700 scores higher than 20,000, clearly separating it as an excellent achiever. The same trend is observed in all the other benchmark results.”

Pertelian X2040 LCD Review
Virtual Hideout :: Tuesday, March 06, 2007
‘Do you game and like to chat, but hate how some chat programs override the game? Or perhaps you use full screen applications, and forget to check for that important email because you were concentrating on that project. Well, the solution to those issues is here with the Pertelian X2040. This little device, about the size of a large pager and has a 4×20 character LCD screen, can be set up to display incoming emails, used with various chat programs, and so much more. I know this introduction sounds more like a commercial and not a review, but to a certain extent that’s precisely what it is.”

Merconnet Car MP3 FM Transmitter
PC Apex :: Monday, March 05, 2007
“Yet another issue I had with this device was the output level. Ideally, I would want the device to broadcast at the same volume level as the radio stations around, so if you change the channel, you are not blasted by sound. Unfortunately, it doesn’t. In fact, to broadcast at the same volume level as local radio stations, I have to turn my Treo’s output down to the point where it wouldn’t distort the input and turn up the car stereo to the point where I am starting to hear the engine’s electrical interference. If I were to use the USB port to power my Treo while broadcasting via the audio input, the interference is worse.”

Vizo Xena Notebook Cooler Review
Techware Labs :: Monday, March 05, 2007
“As processor speeds get higher and faster they run hotter, add in the fact that video card options available in todays notebooks are often putting out more heat than the CPU and you have a small volcano on your hands. As such we were pleased to see another notebook cooler offering enter the ring to help you the consumer fight off the dreaded heat in your laptop to protect your expensive property. In an ocean of currently available notebook coolers however, we wondered how can one notebook cooler make a name for itself amongst the others? By incorporating along with fans and aluminum construction, a 3-port USB 2.0 hub, a backup system with software and a tray for an external sata hard drive with a one touch backup button, that’s how! Today we review the Xena Notebook Cooler and see how Vizo has entered the ring to do battle.”

Ultra Products 2GB Hydra MP3 Player Review
Big Bruin :: Monday, March 05, 2007
While I might prefer a more robust type of player, there are times that a larger player is just too much. This is where the Ultra Products Hydra is a perfect choice. Whether you are out running, biking, sitting by the pool, or working in the hot summer sun; a compact, solid state, and splash resistant player like this will come in very handy.

Lenovo USB Webcam Review
XYZ Computing :: Monday, March 05, 2007
If one of the devices you need to travel with is a webcam, than Lenovo might just have the product you need. This article will be taking a look at the Lenovo USB Webcam, a webcam designed specifically to work with your Thinkpad or ultraportable. Compared to the huge stationery webcams that have been hitting the market lately Lenovo’s model is going to look quite stripped down, . This is especially true once you examine its barebones feature set and thoroughly unbloated software. At 1.97″ x 2.16″ x 4.53″ and about a quarter pound this tiny device is just the thing to shoot a video on the road, whether you need to video conference with your coworkers at home or talk to your kids before bed. It only needs USB power so no addition wires or power adapters are needed which means once it is installed you just need to find a empty spot in your laptop bag and get going.

Vizo Ninja 15″ Laptop Cooler
Gideon Tech :: Monday, March 05, 2007
“The Ninja cooler is made out of aluminum and has two fans to increase heat transfer. By keeping the base of the notebook cool, the Ninja not only prolongs component life, but keeps often loud notebook fans from whirring annoyingly under heavy load.”

Razer DeathAdder Gaming Mouse Review
OCIA :: Monday, March 05, 2007
“The upper deck (where your hand rests) is made from a smooth rubber material which feels more like micro-suede; very nice. The scroll wheel has 24 individual click positions that remain silent when scrolling. The left side of the mouse has two large fully programmable thumb buttons. The Razer logo is positioned discreetly in the center of the mouse and blends in nicely when the mouse is not plugged into your computer.”

Verbatim Store ‘n’ Go 4GB U3 Smart Drive
techPowerUp :: Monday, March 05, 2007
The Verbatim Store ‘n’ Go U3 is a Smart Drive with the U3 Launchpad included on the memory stick. The addition of the software and improved performance cost the end user around $10 USD more, when compared to the basic Store ‘n’ Go 4 GB variant available. We benchmark the Verbatim U3 Smart Drive and let you know if the performance and software are worth the small price premium.

Razer DeathAdder Gaming Mouse Review
XYZ Computing :: Monday, March 05, 2007
Initially, the DeathAdder, aside from having a great name, does not appear too much different from Razer’s other mice. Looking at it we can see a matte finish with a great looking one-piece exterior along with Razer’s signature LED-lit mouse wheel and palm rest. The main difference between it and the other mice is the use of Razer’s 3G infrared sensor, a technology that they claim is far superior to other optical mice. Razer’s designed did not opt for a laser mouse, like on the Copperhead or Logitech popular G5, but rather went to an infrared sensor, which is a form of optical sensor.

Lenovo ThinkPad X60 Tablet Review
Digital Trends :: Monday, March 05, 2007
“Without the “ThinkPad X6 Tablet UltraBase” expansion dock, the X60 is slightly less functional. It does not have an optical drive built-in, which means no CD or DVD drive. To use CDs or DVD on the go, one must have copied disk images to the hard drive with an included utility, or one must use an external USB CD/DVD drive. There are three USB 2.0 ports, a single 4-pin FireWire port, built-in SD/MMC card slot, dial-up modem port, infrared port, embedded WWAN, VGA video out, audio input and output jacks, and a much-appreciated PC Card slot for flash card readers, USB expansion ports, etc. Essentially, any expansion needs could be managed by way of PC cards or USB devices. ”

Ratpadz XT Review
XS Reviews :: Monday, March 05, 2007
“Hard OCP are well known in the review industry for their popular website, and now they are trying to get into the mouse pad sector with their Ratpadz range. Today I have their XT model which promises a slick surface and a large gaming area.”

SteelPad QcK Heavy Review
XS Reviews :: Thursday, March 01, 2007
“Like most manufactures, SteelPad don’t always release brand new products, only build on past success. The QcK heavy is no difference; it’s the same slick surface found on the QcK which received a 9/10 back in 2006, but has extra thickness for LAN party enthusiasts.”

Saitek Eclipse II Illuminated Keyboard
3d Xtreme :: Thursday, March 01, 2007
Today 3DXtreme is taking a look at the latest offering from Saitek, the Eclipse II keyboard. This keyboard is backlit illuminated in three different colors. The characters and keypad are illuminated through the laser etched keys and has variable lighting control. Angle adjustment and 104 quiet cushioned keys on a weighted base with large rubber feet compliment the Eclipse II product nicely.

Saitek Pro Gamer Command Unit
techPowerUp :: Thursday, March 01, 2007
The Saitek Pro Gamer Command Unit is a very unique device and may look like something out of a Sci-Fi movie, but it actually gives you control over games without the use of a traditional keyboard. It puts all functions within reach of your left hand. This makes gaming a lot more comfortable and faster. We tried it with First Person Shooters and Real Time Strategy games to see if the Pro Gamer Command Unit is just as advanced as its futuristic looks.

Samsung NV10 Digital Camera Review
XYZ Computing :: Thursday, March 01, 2007
The NV10 is a high-end camera is Samsung’s NV line. The NV’s are what I would call Samsung’s “tech luxury” product, upper tier models that are highly stylized but also focus on performance. The NV10 is a 10.1 megapixel point-and-shoot with 3x optical zoom that was once the flagship of the NV line but has been topped by the NV11 (which is almost the same, but has 5x optical zoom, a larger 2.7″ LCD, and some other minor improvements). The NV10 is a basically a pocketable, yet high performance, point-and-shoot with a very attractive exterior. It is not cheap, but the current sub-$300 price tag is not something people looking for an ultra light 10.1 megapixel camera should be bothered by. At 96.5 x 60 x 18.5 mm (3.8 x 2.3 x 0.7 in) and 148.7g (0.327 pounds) with the battery installed the camera is built for portability, but my expectations for its performance were high as well.

Vizo Uranus Review
Overclockers Club :: Thursday, March 01, 2007
“With our ever increasing storage demands, many people are looking for options to back up data, store MP3s, photographs and movies. One option is using hard drives, but in order to make that hard drive portable and easily accessible, you will need an external hard drive enclosure. The Vizo Uranus is one of those options.”

Razer Krait Optical Gaming Mouse Review Posted
Tech ARP :: Thursday, March 01, 2007
“Have you ever wanted a really good optical gaming mouse, but see no need for “professional” mice with multiple side buttons? If so, the Razer Krait might just be the answer to your prayers.

The Krait boasts a 1600 dpi optical sensor with a frame rate of 6400 fps, a 16-bit data channel and a gold USB connector for bling bling. Read about it in our latest review.”

Razer DeathAdder Mouse Review
Hi-Tech Reviews :: Thursday, March 01, 2007
The name of the game when you are playing FPS type games is speed and accuracy, the ability to lock onto your target and say get a one-shot kill versus a having to fight the mouse just to acquire a target can make for some very long headaches but very short matches. The crew at Razer has come to your rescue one again with what very well maybe the meanest gaming mouse ever built. This bad boy features the 3rd generation “3G Infrared Sensor Technology” which equals out 1800 DPI. There a bunch of other features but you will need to read the review to find out what they are.

OCZ Equalizer 2500 DPI Laser Gaming Mouse
Pure Overclock :: Thursday, March 01, 2007
“The popularity of super-high performance mice aimed at gamers and hardware connoisseurs has grown exponentially, and it’s Razer who are most notably responsible for much of this. So perhaps it’s interesting to see one of the leaders responsible for the birth of overclockable memory, OCZ, have a stab at the buzz peripheral of the moment – the revered ‘gaming’ mouse.”

GoldenMars microSD Memory Card Review
RB Mods :: Thursday, March 01, 2007
Like many things in the computer world, flash memory has gotten faster and smaller as the technology has improved. For example, Secure Digital cards can now be found in “mini” and “micro” sizes that are even smaller than the already small SD card. Goldenmars, makers of a wide range of memory products, sent us their latest 2GB microSD card. Will it be able to maintain its performance despite its small size? Let’s find out.
