Sunbeam Lightbus Review @ LAN Addict

LAN Addict :: Friday, December 31, 2004
“The Sunbeam Lightbus is really a nifty device and one that I’m kind of surprised hasn’t been copied by anyone else. The fact that it can also be used to control fans is just icing on a pretty sweet cake! The only things I see that could be improved upon are making the hard drive connector a pass-through one so the cases HDD activity light can still be used, and finding a way to utilize the motherboard’s or sound card’s headers for accessing the sound signals, rather than using a pass-through cable that will have to be strung all the way across the interior of your case and out the back.”

How To Create Your Own Computer Games @ The Tech Zone
The Tech Zone :: Friday, December 31, 2004
“I’ve always loved video games, ever since I first played them on a friend’s computer in the afternoon after elementary school. There’s something almost magical about the fact that we can move images around and interact with virtual worlds, a living fantasy presented for us to interact with however we please. I’ve also always wanted to make games myself but, until recently, didn’t have the technical knowledge to do so. Now, I’m a second year software engineering student, so if I weren’t able to code a game without too many dramas there’d be something drastically wrong. But what about the common person: the person for whom the term ‘memory leak’ conjures up images of their grandfather, ‘pipeline’ is where the water flows, and ‘blitting’ is unheard of? Well, everyone can get in on the game creation process, and you don’t even need to learn ‘real’ programming to do so.”

OCZ EL PC3200 Platinum Revision 2 Dual Channel Kit
LAN Addict :: Monday, December 13, 2004

“After the smoke has cleared and all the dust has settled, what do we have? Well, I think we have one very impressive PC3200 dual channel memory kit from OCZ! While it may need its timings loosened up a bit fairly quickly in the overclocking game, there is no denying that OCZ has a fantastic product here. About the only thing they could improve upon would be increasing the voltage they’ll cover under warranty from 2.9V to 3.0V+.”

Sunbeam Samurai ATX Case
LAN Addict :: Tuesday, December 07, 2004

“So, after having gone through all of this, what do I think of the Sunbeam Samurai case? Well, I certainly think you could do a lot worse than to buy this case. Yes, it has it’s share of flaws, but I think that most of them are pretty minor.”
