Half-Life 2: Episode 2 (PC) review
YouGamers :: Monday, October 22, 2007
“The thing that has advanced the most is the scripting of the game world – it’s clear that the familiarity of the engine and the development tools has helped here, and Episode Two feels much less artificial in the scripting of the actions triggered by your progress. It just flows smoother while a level is in progress. The addition of physics to scripted events also creates some truly impressive sequences. Some rough spots remain, and the long loading pauses between sections are bit annoying, but I guess it can’t be helped – the engine just isn’t set up for constant streaming of content. Puzzles, while fairly rare and sometimes optional, are also exceptionally well done – not immediately obvious, yet not so hard as you’d have to alt-tab for a solution off a spoiler site to proceed.”

World in Conflict PC Review
Tweak Town :: Monday, October 22, 2007
TTGamer have today posted a review of World in Conflict for the PC. The PC RTS genre is hardly lacking quality or quantity right now, but World in Conflict still seems to find its niche.

Donkey Kong Barrel Blast (Wii)
Gaming Heaven :: Saturday, October 20, 2007
The Donkey Kong series is most renowned for being a platformer, aside from the popular Diddy Kong Racing on the N64. While Barrel Blast was originally intended for release on the GameCube using the DK Bongos, the Wiis motion capabilities pose as a worthy alternative. Although the racing here doesnt offer the same adventure as Diddy Kong Racing did, its still worth checking out if youre interested in an unorthodox racing game.

World in Conflict – PC Review
Gamepyre :: Saturday, October 20, 2007
know this game has gotten a ton of praise from every possible reviewer, but I have a hard time giving a game blind praise because the graphics are pretty (which they most certainly are) or they add supposed “innovation” to a type of gaming by more or less taking all the rules of Real Time Strategy and throwing them out the window. I guess what it all boils down to is that I’m disappointed. I’m disappointed that a game which oozed with potential and with such promise of immersive, realistic and destructive strategy game play, boiled down to nothing more than a rather visually stimulating way for me to take orders from my computer.

X-Arcade Tankstick Dual Joystick Controller Review
Futurelooks :: Saturday, October 20, 2007
This thing is built like a friggin’ tank — hence its name — and it’ll be able to suffer the worst of beatings just like its sibling, the X-Arcade Trackball Mouse Controller. Yes, even when you play a hardcore button mashing game like Metal Slug or an intense fighting game like Mortal Kombat, the TankStick will not only hold its own… it’ll take the beating and it’ll like it.

MotoGP 07 (PC) review
YouGamers :: Thursday, October 18, 2007
“The modelling of off-track material is also inconsistent, sometimes having glue-like tendencies, other times pulling you across (which only happens in four wheeled vehicles…). It’s not a major issue but it’s made worse by the fact that if you place any fraction of your tyres off the track or rumble strips, you automatically incur a time penalty. “Err, hang on! So not only do you physically slow me down if run onto grass, you then artifically stick on extra seconds!” This is another example of the developers not knowing how to (or choosing not to) correctly model traction and grip.”
