Xbox 360 Toppers to Get Cheaper

The games giant has confirmed the launch of the Xbox 360 Classics range – a series of older top-selling games that will have their price lowered from around 49.99 GBP to 19.99 GBP. The first two games in the series will be ‘Kameo’ and ‘Perfect Dark Zero’ and both will be re-released with the lower price this October.

The slogan for Sony’s soon to be released next generation console the PlayStation 3 has been revealed.

The slogan, ‘This Is Living’, came to light at the recent Leipzig games conference, where it appeared during an advert for the console.

Sony chief Kaz Hirai has revealed the PlayStation 4 is more than five years away.

Sony Computer Entertainment of America president Hirai insists the forthcoming PlayStation 3 will have a life span of 10 years to provide value for money and indicated gamers will have to wait for the next console in the series.

Speaking about the forthcoming PS3, he told CNET: “I think that we are offering a very good value for the consumers.

EA Confirms Classic Game Collection For PSP

Representatives from Electronic Arts have confirmed the forthcoming release of EA Replay, the previously rumored PSP collection of older titles from the company’s back catalog of Super Nintendo and Genesis releases. In development in Vancouver, B.C. by EA Canada, the company’s primary PSP development studio, the game is currently scheduled to ship on November 15 for $19.99. TDK develops 200GB Blu-ray disc

In the battle of new optical storage formats, Blu-ray Disc has added another weapon — even more storage.

Japan’s TDK has developed a prototype single-sided recordable blue laser disc with a capacity of 200GB, surpassing the current 25GB capacity for single-layer Blu-ray discs and 50GB for dual-layer discs, the company announced at the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin.
