Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard Review
Laptop Gamers :: Sunday, September 10, 2006
Logitech has come up with a really solid product for gaming enthusiasts. Although there is nothing revolutionary about the keyboard, it has more than enough features to warrant a purchase. You can easily tell that Logitech did their homework before designing this keyboard. While reviewing the G15, I was most impressed by the wide spectrum of features. Minor features like the ‘Game Mode’ switch are a nice bonus. Who would’ve thought that a feature to disable your Windows keys would help enhance your gaming experience? Well, Logitech obviously did. More significant features like the G-keys and their vast amount of programmability options will help gamers of all levels gain a competitive edge. The Logitech G15 has a deep level of customization that is second to none.

Why would we buy Battlefield 2142?
NGO HQ :: Monday, September 04, 2006
The developer’s support is very important to keep the game running, fixing bugs, and to prevent cheating. That’s why many online games are being patched all the time – sometimes the developer is making a mistake that can have a big negative influence over the game. For example, Client & Server stability issues that can lead to a crash. Usually, when a respected developer is making these kinds of mistakes, they release a fix in a timely manner of a few hours or a week. At least, that’s what usually happens when a respected developer (like Valve, for example) has a bug in one of their popular games.

Big Oil PC Game Review
DragonSteel Mods :: Monday, September 04, 2006
” If you like Tycoon type games then I have one today for review that you might just like, it is actually perfect for the times we are living in right now. The game is called Big Oil, and it is from our friends at TriSynergy. As the name suggests it is about oil, making money in oil to be more precise, and doing it the tycoon way. There are a lot of aspects to the Big Oil game, like the addition of natural disasters, historical scenarios and multi player mode as well. Big Oil is an interesting game, and I have a few screen shots for you and three short in game movies as well, c’mon and check it out… ”

Street Fighter II’ Hyper Fighting
Bytesector :: Monday, September 04, 2006
“With the release of Street Fighter II’ Hyper Fighting to the Xbox Live Arcade, gamers are given the opportunity to turn back the hands of time to the arcade scene of the nineties. 2D graphics, annoying background jingles, sometimes indiscernible announcers; all we’re missing is the ching-ching of quarters dropping into slots and squishy, soda-soaked carpets. Street Fighter ignores all technological advancement, looking and sounding just like the original; it’s so bad that it’s good.”

PCSXBox v16
Xbox Scene :: Friday, September 01, 2006
Xport released a new version of PCSXBox(info) – a PlayStation emulator for Xbox. What’s new/fixed: * Save state loading caused crashes under certain circumstances. This has been fixed. * Defaulted “Auto load most recent save state” to off since this seems to be causing lots of problems. If this is not disabled automatically for you, I suggest making sure it’s always off unless you know what you’re doing.

No Xbox 360 Shortages this Xmas
Game Industry Biz :: Friday, September 01, 2006
With PlayStation 3’s November global rollout set to be hampered by a severe hardware shortfall, Microsoft Europe boss Chris Lewis has turned up the heat in the next-generation stand-off, boldly pledging that there will be “no shortages anywhere in the region over Christmas” for Xbox 360.

Lewis’s comments came in an interview with GI.biz’s sister site, Eurogamer TV, at last week’s Leipzig Games Convention. When asked if he was confident of having enough hardware to meet demand over the peak period, Lewis replied: “Very confident. We were pretty tight after this last Christmas, [but] we tripled production; we put plenty of inventory in the air rather than using the water because it was important to get the stock to the right places at the right time.”

Opinion: Microsoft’s Vrignaud, UbiSoft’s DeLoura on Blu-ray
Gamasutra :: Friday, September 01, 2006
Xbox strategy group member and outspoken blogger Andre Vrignaud has responded to a recent open dialogue with former Sony Development head and current technical director for Ubisoft, Mark DeLoura, regarding Sony’s Blu-ray support with PS3, concluding, to his surprise, that the two are in “violent agreement.”

Vrignaud kicked off the debate with two earlier posts on his Ozymandias blog, citing Sony claims that the Blu-ray’s increased storage capacity were essential for its inclusion in its next generation hardware. On the contrary, said Vrignaud, it was drive speed that should be the deciding factor, and there, he concluded, the Blu-ray might fall short:
