There’s been such an overwhelming response to the Wil Wheaton keynote that I had to take action…
I provided the keynote as a way of giving back, but it apparently has been abused. Many people were hotlinking to the keynote, and ran up my bandwidth to over 50GB a day… which is going to bite me in the ass when it comes time to pay the hosting bill. I don’t write content just because I’m bored… I want people to read it, and hotlinking bypasses all my hard work.
The keynote has been moved to a bandwidth-throttled part of the site, and hotlinking protection has been placed on the file. If this kind of thing continues to happen, then I’ll just take the file down.
