Denied Ops Hands On & Interview
YouGamers :: Monday, February 04, 2008
“The co-op gameplay (2 player online or split-screen) felt quite similar: it was nice to have a really useful soldier next to you, providing covering fire and so on, but it didn’t feel particularly necessary. This is almost certainly down to the difficulty setting, for which C:DO has a dynamic version, affecting later levels; by not progressing far enough into the game, there’s good chance that we didn’t experience enough scenarios that truly require the unique capabilities of each person (one is a sniper, the other a heavy machine gunner). The opening level provides a spot of tank action, though, so one should expect various vehicles and new tactics to appear throughout the game, as the tank was more effective with both players in it, compared to being handled by just one.”

HellGate London (PC)
Driver Heaven :: Monday, February 04, 2008
Before you start writing us e-mails about the game being several months old let us reassure you that we are well aware of the fact. And believe it or not, we know that the game didn’t exactly impress most reviewers back when it was released. So why on earth are we writing a late review to a mediocre game when newer, better games are finally starting to appear? Because sometimes you have to spend more than a day with a game to fully appreciate it. Because sometimes a game sees so many improvements after release that it no longer is the game it was when it hit store shelves. And also because we are huge fans of Diablo 2 and let’s face it – Hellgate: London is as close as we’ll get to a true Diablo 2 successor for the time being.
