Grand Theft Auto IV Walkthrough

====== Stunts ======

Maps for these are at my website as well, if this text doesn’t do it for you.

Quick Tips:

*Be sure to eyeball the bottom of the screen for the fail or confirm message, and if you hear the sound clip that also means you did it. You can also check the Brief screen to see how many you got to go.

*On bikes be sure to tilt forward on the left stick so Niko leans forward,  making you go a bit faster and also shifting your weight forward as you hit the jump, so you don’t flip over backwards.

*Best not to get too attached to your cars, so just use whatever you find, be it taxi or cop car if you must. Don’t bring your Infernus or anything like that.

*You need to meet the parameters of the jump, where some just want you to go  through them and others seem to require you be going a certain speed. If you do a jump and land but it still fails you, that means you need to go faster.

*If on a bike and low on health, remember to call Carmen if you can, or dial 911 and let professionals heal you.

*Move the RS up to speed up the slow motion while you are in the air.

Broker/Dukes ————

1. If you look on your map you will see a bunch of little dots west of the  airport. Go there and you should find this jump on the north end of the road that goes around the containers.

2. After you take the last jump, get back up to that same road, which it is  easier to get out and hop over the dividers, and this jump is at the south end of the road. It’s the container that is open and has the dirt inside. When you hit this one you need to avoid drifting left as you will hit the tree. Be sure to have a lot of speed hitting this one.

3. From the last one, go west to an area that is west of the car wash. You’ll  notice the road is under construction, and there is a mound of dirt nearby. Go down the opposite road from the ramp as far as you can, rev it up, and go for it. I believe the idea is to ramp onto the other side, but I just crashed into it and I got the jump.

4. This one is a bit west of where you landed from the last one, but you have to go around and onto the streets around the highway. Basically, go to the  hospital nearby, follow the road east of it that runs parallel to the highway, and soon after the tracks you will run into this jump. Just go back to the  second set of traffic lights and go for it. If you see during the jump there  are some metal beams. I think you have to jump over those, but it could be  something else.

5 & 6. From where you land from the last one, just go one block over to the west and you’ll run into the next two. Go to the north side of this building to see the ramp in the alley. Go up the sloping road and hit it as fast as you can. Yeah, you hit the next jump on the roof where the first jump takes you.  You should ramp off another roof, but that doesn’t count as a jump. Pretty cool.

7. From here, go west toward the road that leads you down to Brucie’s. You  should see a few holes in the brick wall on the right, so go through one and  you’ll see the ramp facing west. Go down the tracks as far as you feel safe and go for it. I should probably advise you brake after you jump, but where’s the fun in that? Just crash and fly into the water – awesome!

8. Go to the east end of the Algonquin Bridge, and this one is definitely a  BIKE-only jump. This would be hard to find otherwise, but it’s that tiny ramp where the highway splits in two. You’re objective is to land in the walkway between the bridge, so remember to push forward so you lean, but not too much or you will flip over. Good luck, and hotdogs on the street nearby if you  crash alot.

9. Head north of the nearby Cluckin’ Bell and you map or may not realize  there is a parking lot on the north side of the intersection. You’ll approach it from the west, but the ramp to the lot is the jump you need. So go a bit of a ways west, turn, and punch it going east and hit the ramp, but you don’t  need to go that fast. This is an easy jump, if you can find it.

*NOTE: If you need more help, this one is at an area where you shot up some  guys around the containers, and it’s at the intersection just before the one  leading to the East Borough Bridge.*

10. Go to the southwestern corner of the darts bar block and you should see a tiny alley that looks west. You’ll need to get back as far as you can and hit the ramp, drifting slightly left, and stick the landing to get the jump.

11. Where the last jump lands you, the next ramp is to the right on the road; this is where Jacob meets you if you need guns. Just hit the ramp and you’re good. Maybe you can do this from the other side, but not sure.

12. The last ramp again lands you next to the next one. Just back up down the road and take the plunge. You should land in a pool, so bye bye to whatever vehicle you used.

13. Last one is down the street to the north, then keep going east until you hit a ramp at the end of this road that runs behind the houses. It’s a straight road and you’ll see the ramp in the corner where it turns. You can literally just fly down the road and hit it. May want to slightly turn left so you land, and if you land you’re good.

*NOTE: This ramp is northeast of the darts bar and you should have ran into this area while chasing pigeons.*

Bohan —–

14. Head up to Bohan on the East Borough Bridge. Go right after you exit and  you should look above you to see an incomplete bridge. Go right again at the  intersection to get on the road that takes you to the construction area, and from there you can hit the ramp at the end of the bridge.

15. West of the Strip Club, and north of the abandoned docks area, is a long stretch of ground below the tracks. The ramp is at the end of this stretch. You need to approach from the left side, but then aim right once you reach the  ramp so you land at the intersection. A bit of luck is needed as you may land on a car and fail. Gotta land safely.

16 & 17. Directly south and one block over from the strip club is an entrance to a bridge that is also under construction (It it a highway, I think). You  need a fast car and just punch it, but watch out for the openings in the road toward the middle, in the connector areas. Just hit the ramp barely going right, and if you do you should also hit the second ramp.

Algonquin ———

18. Go to the north end of the island and take the road to the east. You should remember this place from a mission, but there is a ramp in the middle of the street. You’ll have to go back a bit west, build up speed, swerve rigth  when you get close, and you should land it.

19. After you stick the last one, reverse and go down the parking lot near the ramp. You should see some steps, and beside those steps is a slope in the  sidewalk. You don’t need much speed, just hit it and you should land – easy.

20. After the last one, go under the road tunnel and then go up the hill to get on the streets, where you usually drop off Dwayne. To the right is a ruined  building and the jump is in there. Just back up as far as you can, punch it,  turn when you need to to line up with the ramp, and hopefully you land on all four wheels.

21. Go south after you land, and swing around to get back on the road where you found the last ramp. At the intersection you should see a bunch of alley paths on the east of it, which is right above a subway station. The ramp faces east.

22. Go to the highway in front of your safehouse, not the Playboy X pad. In the highway you should find a divider and at the end of it is a jump. You’ll need a bike for this one, because even though a car can fit in here they will not count it. Just find a bike, somewhere, and then take it inside the divider area. Take it as far back to the support column and then punch it. You may  need to lean into the bike as you are in the air.

23. You’ll need full health, full armor, and a new motorcycle for this one.  South of the last ramp, and above the highway, is a police station. Once you  step inside you will get four stars, so work quickly. Once you enter from the front, go to the back, which is the north side of the station, and there will be steps on the right. Go up them and follow the path around the walkway until you see a ramp. This is not the ramp you need, but take it a slow speed so you can get up to a small roof; basically get to the ramp, stop, and then use all the speed you use on the ramp to get up. Then use the next small ramp to  get on the roof with a dome. You’ll need to go from the northern corner to  the ramp at the edge of the roof, and if you land you will ramp again, but that one is just a ramp to get you out of here. Good luck shaking the cops.

24. Go two blocks east of the gun shop and you should see a tiny alley with a  ramp. You don’t have much room to build up speed, but you don’t need much. You also have to hit the left side of the ramp and then drift to the right ever so slightly.

*NOTE: This ramp is south of the police station, if that helps.*

25. Go two blocks east of the Perseus at the south end of the island. Look for this ramp along a walkway of a building, near some steps. You’ll have to go a good deal down the street to build up speed.

26. A few blocks west of the gun shop and a block or so south will be a tunnel through a large building, you can see the alley on your map. This tunnel is  blocked off at each end with blocks, but you can jump them. You may be able to hit the one on the west side, but the one on the east has more road to work  with. What I did to avoid flipping over as you hit the jump is to let off the  gas as I hit the ramp and I landed. You need to be in a car, FYI; maybe a bike works, but it’s a lot of lost health if you crash.

27. Head up to the middle of Star Junction and directly east of the Split Sides in the middle of the road should be an open container with dirt inside. I  don’t think you have to hit this ramp terribly fast, but you do want some  good speed and you want to avoid hitting anything, so angle yourself to the left. No, you can’t just do directly in front of the ramp and back up, you’ll have to speed down the street and make a turn and pray you stick it.

*NOTE: I used a car on that one, but maybe a bike would have worked better.*

28. Just south of here, at the intersection southeast of Split Sides is another ramp. This is a BIKE only stunt. Just drive as far back as you can and hit the ramp while avoiding cars. I even hit lamp post after the jump, so I think as long as you land you will get it.

29. Remember those pigeons that were on the abandoned tracks in this part of  town? If not, go to the block west of the Empire State Building and go up the steps to the resting area. Get on the old tracks and follow them until you are above the Pay N Spray, that is where the jump is. Gotta be careful as this is grass up here.

30. Follow the highway all the way up to the north, past the Hickey Bridge and  you’ll hit the jump when you are one block west from you safehouse, on the  corner. It’s no the stairs, there’s a ramp up among the tall buildings, in the  parking lot. You can only hit it by going along the sidewalk in front of the  northern building. And you have to push forward, hoping you bounce off the  metal roof and into the street. That will be a successful jump. Kinda need to go right to left, just a little, not much.

31. These next two are on boat, so find one, a fast one. You can head to the  east side of Algonquin either before or after getting a boat, but I prefer  before (the docks on the west side of Charge Island always have boats). The  ramp is between two barges that are southeast of your safehouse. The barges converge to a point and that is where the ramp is. Just hit it and you’re good.

32. This water ramp is southwest of the tip of Colony Island, along the docks.
Alderney ——–

33. Head to the north end of the island and find the car wash. Go across the street to the east and to the back parking lot of a grocery store. The ramp here will face northwest. You may want to honk at the guys in the way to move.

34. Take the old mansion road at the northeast end of the island and east of  it will be the ramp on the beach. But you’ll see there is a little divet along the beachline. The ramp is actually just a mound of sand over a little alcove of water and it faces north.

35. Okay, so if take the old mansion road back up to the streets you will end up by a Burger Shot. The ramp is east of the BS and it’s the driveway of a  house. You’ll need to go all the way back down the sloping road, all the way to where you hit that dirt path, and then punch it up the incline. You’ll have to stay in the middle of the street and hope no one gets in your way. Lean  forward when close to the ramp if on a bike. The faster the better.

36. Just south of where you land from the last one, which is two blocks south of the BS, will be a parking garage. Take it to the top and the ramp faces west. Plenty of vending machines if you need health.

37. Head south to the Pay N Spray, then go one block east to be in an alley.  The ramp faces south, and you may want to go as far back as the parking garage to build up your speed. Hopefully you go over the roof on the other side, but probably not – the resulting crash is awesome at least, if in a bike.

38. This jump is just a block north of your safehouse, in the upper area. The  open container faces west, and you don’t need a bike if you manage to squeeze a car through. Just build up speed from the road east and turn so you hit the  ramp.

39. West of your safehouse there are some steps. Get up there, in a car, and  at the top of the steps will be a ramp to the south. You don’t have much room to build up speed, but you don’t need much. Just punch as much speed as you can into this jump and don’t let up on the gas, and hopefully you land in the  alley that faces east without crashing.

40. You’re gonne need a fast ride, like a really fast one. Keep in mind a  successful jump means you keep the car you use, but a bad jump means it sinks into the water. I say take a cab or just go over to your safehouse at eastern Algonquin. Nearby will be that shop full of Turismos. Take one back to your  safehouse in Alderney. The ramp itself is east of the safehouse. Go go west, all the way down an alley. I started in the corner under the looping road, but  you can start anywhere. Just punch it and hope no one gets in your way. If your car goes really high up as you are in the air then you will most likely land. If not, well, try again. The Turismos work, trust me.

*NOTE: To get on the road there are some tiny steps to the south of where you land.*

41. Go to the Alderney end of the Booth Tunnel and either use the steps and  go north of the helipad, or go to where you found the last jump and go under it to find a tunnel. You’ll need to speed through this tunnel and hit the ramp facing south. It seems the goal is to land ON the helipad, so fast cars need to moderately hit the ramp. Just land and you’ll complete it.

42. I don’t think you can use a bike on the steps, but maybe. Get a good and fast car and head west out from the Booth Tunnel. Go until you pass the on-ramp to take the elevated highway. At the next intersection, look north to see some steps. You’ll need to speed up those steps and clear the other set of steps, landing in the street.

43. Head back to the road where you hit the last ramp, the sideways “8” road we can call it. Go to the northwest corner. There is a hotdog vender, some  steps, and you should have hit a pigeon here. Go up the steps and the ramp  will be along the wall looking south. You don’t have much room to build up any speed, so you just use what you got and you’ll get the jump – easy.

44. Head to the @ cafe, go one block west, follow this road about three blocks up to the north until it ends, and you should see the open container against  the bend in the highway. You don’t have to hit it terribly fast, just enough so you land on the lane of oncoming traffic.

*NOTE: There is an opening in this highway, just go south a bit, cross over into the northbound traffic, and the opening on the side should be just nearby so you can get onto the streets.*

45. This one is on the opposite side of the last on, at the north end of this bend in the highway. There you will find a bunch of ramps, but you need to  follow the dirt path back, then turn around, and follow the path up the ramp.  You may actually need to go farther back than the dirt path, but be careful as vehicles handle poorly on dirt. But whatever you do you need to hit the ramp from the left side and drift right so you can get over the highway and land along the beach. If you do and want to save your car, just drive south, slowly, avoid the rocks, avoid falling off, and there is an incline to get on the road. And even a body armor at the base of the incline.

46. Follow the highway south, take the bridge near Honkers that takes you to the south end of the island, and go to the southern end of the bridge that is ruined, which is southwest of Honkers (look at the map). Get to the south end of this ruined bridge and ride it north to ramp off, and you need to take  the left side, the end with the ramp.

47 & 48. Both are at the southern end of the elevated highway. Both are holes in the sides of the railings that have just a little mound of dirt so you can  ramp off. They are at the west and east sides of the on/off ramp. For either one you need to almost go back to the opposite ramp, on the side of the traffic flowing the direction you are going, and so long as you land you will get the jumps.

49. East of Honkers is an on/off ramp for the highway. Get to the top of it,  but the ramp you need to jump is at the bottom of the highway ramp. You’ll need to speed down the ramp, hit the stunt ramp, fly over the water, and land on the other side of the road. You really need to hit the right side of the ramp to have any chance of landing.

The ONLY way I got this to work was by using a bike. What I did was get to flat top of the skyway ramp, then I made sure I was lined up with the ramp as I  went down. As I sped down I leaned forward to build up some speed, but I let go of the leaning as I hit the ramp, once I hit the ramp I then leaned forward just a bit to as to not flip in the air, and I barely landed. I used a Zombie, if that helps (it’s a motorcycle).

50. Last one, and it’s probably the most likely one you’ve already hit. This ramp is east of the car wash. It’s the dirt hill at the end of the train tracks and you have to hit it from the side of the tracks. Need a car, and just speed south down the tracks and you’re done.
