= Friends =
These are the people that are encountered in the story and will contact you for “man-dates”. They are just people to hang out with once they have run their course in the story, and they all provide some reward for getting their “Like” stat up to 100%. I know you don’t have to get them all up to 100%, but you may as well.
They all seem to like all the options available when you call on the phone.
Seems you can only use their service once a day.
Yes, the strip club never fails.
Roman —–
He will do anything with you. The easiest friend to keep happy. There is no reason to do his taxi missions other than for money, and that is just for the early part of the game when you are broke and don’t do story missions.
100% Like: Call for a cab to take you anywhere for free. Good for when you take a friend out to drink, as you really shouldn’t drive while intoxicated, virtual life and for real.
Little Jacob ————
Likes darts, pool, bars, and chicken. His delivery missions help him like you too.
100% Like: Call to meet Jacob in a nearby alley where you can buy a selection of guns for cheap. Doesn’t have all the guns, but if you ever need armor you should call him.
Brucie ——
He especially likes going on the boat and chopper rides, and all the other options are fine too. His races boost his like of you too, if you win, and maybe so do his car deliveries, but I’m not sure.
100% Like: Use his helicopter whenever you like as a taxi.
Packie ——
He likes a spot of the drink and games. Just playing the main story seems to keep his like of you up.
100% Like: Brings a bomb to place in a car that you can set off with your phone.
Dwayne ——
Provided you didn’t kill him, he likes all the stuff pretty much: drink, food, and strip clubs. It’s easy if you take him to the Cluckin’ Bell at Star Junction because not only does he love that place, you don’t have to take him home.
100% Like: Will send two thugs to help you out.
Francis ——-
Only if you let him live do you get a benefit. He will clear your wanted level. But it’s not that big a deal, so no worries if you let him go.
= Random People =
Here are all the people you can meet throughout the game that are not crucial to the story, but most are crucial to 100% completion. Only the ones you save from death (Ivan, Cherise, Clarence) are not toward 100%, and same with Jeff for some reason.
These guys unlock after certain points in the story. My walkthrough covers them when they are open, and if all else fails just wait until the end of the game to do them.
*Broker / Dukes*
Brian —–
First – near Roman’s cab building. He just gives you $100.
Second – south of your first safehouse. Just drive him to a deal and then home.
Third – near the gun shop. Just take him to the dealers, shoot them to make them run away, then take Brian home.
Badman ——
He’ll be just off the East Borough Bridge. Take him to the alley and kill the Russians.
Mel —
He will be near the police station on the street of your first safehouse. Take him to the bad guys, kill the bad guys, then drive Mel back home.
Mrs. Faustin ————
Remember where you first took Michelle, the bowling alley at the south end of Broker? She will be here after you guys leave for Bohan, at some point. She asks you to beat up her daughter’s boyfriend, but not kill him.
*Algonquin*
Jeff —-
First – He is in east Holland, near a police station. Just follow his wife to the cafe, go in and up to take their pick (don’t get too close though), and then walk out.
Second – He calls you and forces you to go to a parking garage (follow the markers), and then drive the car north while outrunning the cops. Drive it toward the water and bail out while going at full speed to send it into the water.
Third – He is south of the “Time’s Square” area, or northwest of the gun shop. Just go there and watch the scene, that’s it.
Pathos ——
First – He is in Star Junction, the “Time’s Square” area. Just fight off the haters that attack.
Second – He is is still in Star Junction. He is shot, so kill the haters and drive him to the nearby hospital, with I believe no real timer.
Marnie ——
First – South of Star Junction, at a place with a water fountain, is this girl. Pick her up and take her to her drug dealer.
Second – She is around the area of the Booth Tunnel, where you meet Bernie. Just drive her to the station and that is it.
Email – After the Marnie encounters, some time later you will get an email from her about how well she is doing. Pretty cool.
Sara —-
First – West of the gunshop, at night, you will find her. Just drive her way up north, then beat up her husband.
Second – She is in the southeast corner of the island, at Pier 45, at night. Just drive to the Pereus, pay for the package, and bring it back to her.
Hossan ——
Also west of the gun shop. Drive him to the guy that owns him money, then chase the dude. The chase ends at a park where you can kill the guy. Once you have the money, drive Hossan home.
Clarence ——–
Only if you spared him in the Paper mission “Holland Nights”, he will be in the same area in Holland. Just kill him after you talk.
Cherise ——-
She is also in the Holland area if you spared her in the Dwayne mission “Ruff Rider”. Just drive her to her boyfriend and beat him up.
*Alderney*
Eddie —–
First – He is on the west side of this island, at night, in the area called “Alderney City” (it’s a neighborhood). Drive him to the pier, then to Algonquin.
Second – He is north of the @ cafe, at night. Blast him after you talk.
Gracie ——
She is back at her house a few days after the final missions for the McReary’s where you let her go; it’s west of the gun shop. Just kill her goons after the scene.
Ivan —-
Only if you spared him from Vlad’s mission “Ivan the Not So Terrible”. He is north of the gun shop. Just drive him to the thugs and kill them from your cover. Talk to him and that’s it.
= Girlfriends =
Here are some rules for dating:
- Clothes and cars have little affect on the girl’s opinion of you, but you should at least change your clothes for the girl if you can. Don’t go too far out of your way.
- All friends don’t want to be picked up late. You have one hour to get to them, so check you cell phone clock.
- If you keep taking her to the same place, it does get old.
- Try your luck after at least two dates.
- Her words let you know if the date was a success or not.
- Club Liberty, the dance club, is west of the @ cafe in Algonquin.
- If you like Katt Williams, he will show up at the comedy club after a few shows of that Ricky Gervais guy. The comedy club is west of Star Junction if you didn’t run into it yourself.
Michelle ——–
You meet her very early in the game, and about halfway through you will no longer have to worry about her, for reasons I’ll let you see for yourself.
She likes any game, getting drunk, Split Sides, and diners. You will mainly take her to the diner by your first safehouse.
Favorite Clothes: Cheap
Kate —-
You meet her after Packie McReary’s missions. She plays a big role at the end of the game, and her fate purely rests in your hands.
She likes diners, bars, darts, and pool.
Favorite Clothes: Modo
Carmen Ortiz ————
