LTB Magnum USB 5.1 Headphones
Phoronix :: Sunday, November 26, 2006
“It has been almost two years since we first heard of LTB Audio Systems and decided to look at their USB True 5.1 Surround Sound Headphones. The headphones were surprisingly well designed for coming from this relatively unheard of company. These headphones offer a built in microphone, onboard audio control, and is true 5.1 surround sound.”

Kinc sets another world record – 1GHz GPU with GeForce 8800 GTX
Nordic Hardware :: Sunday, November 26, 2006
We earlier reported about how Kinc managed to push the card’s GPU to over 1GHz and he has now performed some tests at 997MHz and managed to set a world record for single cards with over 90,000 points in 3DMark 2001; 90,274 to be more precise.

nVidia ForceWare Vista Driver Blunder – Thermal Management?
Tweak Town :: Sunday, November 26, 2006
“This week has been a horrid week for us. We’ve had so much hardware die or fail – first of all, our RAID 0 array failed, then our water cooling pump decided to fail, then one of our Vista installs corrupted itself and finally managed to avoid a fire hazard but killed an nVidia GeForce 7900GS graphics card in the process. They say bad things happen in groups of three – we’re at number four and hope for no more problems.

Today we’ll tell you about the death of an nVidia GeForce 7900GS graphics card and how we think it could have been avoided by better and more thoroughly-tested Windows Vista ForceWare drivers. It seems to be a major blunder by nVidia and we feel as if it is important enough to alert our readers about the issue.”

Zalman HD135 HTPC Case Review
Big Bruin :: Sunday, November 26, 2006
When creating a PC system for use at a desk, noise is somewhat of a concern, but a certain level of noise has become acceptable to achieve cooler temperatures. When setting out to create a PC for home theater duty, noise and heat get a lot more attention. Zalman has tried to make the best of both worlds with their HD135… I cannot find anything I do not like about this case; it looks great, cools excellently, and has plenty of room. Given all of these positives and the absolutely excellent engineering that went into it, I award the Zalman HD135 HTPC Case the “Highly Recommended” Award.

Logitech FreePulse Bluetooth Wireless Headphones
Dragonsteel Mods :: Thursday, November 23, 2006
” Music is everywhere, the Ipod, the Zune, and on any other Mp3 player out there. You’ll find these devices in use by an extremely diverse group of peoples, from children to construction workers and up to the executive levels of corporations. It seems everyone is plugged in these days in one way or another. One thing I quite never figured out though is why most people settle for the blah stock earbuds or headphones that come with these devices, you like your music enough to take it with you so why not really enjoy it with a quality set of headphones, and why be wired to your device? This is where Logitech comes in with the introduction of their FreePulse wireless headphones, which of course is what I have for review today. I love my music, and it is enhanced even more with the excellent quality of the FreePulse. Read on to learn more about these excellent headphones…

ATI X1950 Pro Crossfire
t-break :: Thursday, November 23, 2006

ATI Catalyst 6.11 Performance Analysis
Tweak Town :: Thursday, November 23, 2006
“If not, we have changed our test system motherboard over rendering our 6.10 benchmarks useless which meant we had to test our cards twice instead of once. We thought we would take the chance though to change it up. We have completely swapped the cards over – low and mid range is represented with the Radeon X1300XT and X1650PRO, high-end gets the Radeon X1950XTX and previous generation gets the X850XT.”

HIS X1650XT 256MB iSilenceII Video Cards
3dgameman :: Thursday, November 23, 2006
“The HIS X1650XT series of Video Cards offer tremendous value. When combined in a CrossFire configuration they still offer great value, but performance goes way up! As a matter of fact, two X1650XT Video Cards will outperform a single X1950Pro Video Card in some instances. If you’re on a budget and want a CrossFire setup, get ’em! Watch the Video to find out more…”

Auzentech X-Meridian 7.1 Sound Card Review
NV News :: Wednesday, November 22, 2006
:”The sound that came out of my headphones with Dolby Headphone enabled was awe inspiring. I have never heard anything like it. From ratty old mp3s to high definition audio, this card delivers amazing quality of sound. My wife even agrees. I made her listen to some mp3s normally, then with Dolby Headphone turned on. Then, I turned on the Virtual 7.1 speakers, and she became giddy…a very rare occurrence. For those of us who cannot crank up the audio without disturbing our significant others, the Dolby Headphone feature is the perfect solution.”

Three 7600GT budget Graphics Cards reviewed
Metku Mods :: Wednesday, November 22, 2006
“The accurate models of the cards in this review are MSI NX7600GT Diamond Plus, Palit 7600GT Sonic and Leadtek Winfast PX 7600GT TDH Extreme. It’s pretty easy to say from the outlook of the cards which one is the factory-overclocked TDH version. Leadtek’s cooler not only has the largest fan but also hides almost half of the card under it.”

Altec Lansing FX5051 5.1 Speaker System Review
XYZ Computing :: Wednesday, November 22, 2006
“A solid audio system can make a tremendous difference- it can turn gaming from just another boring shoot-em-up to a spine-rumbling, surround sound action fest. If you are not a gamer then you might enjoy improved sound quality for your digital music, surround sound movies, or the added bass of a subwoofer.

This time around we will be looking at the FX5051 surround sound 5.1 speaker system from Altec Lansing. The new system was just released in order to round out their lineup as a high-end system with speakers and a subwoofer. Despite its being at the top end of Altec Lansing’s PC series the FX5051 is still relatively affordable (MSRP is $249) for a serious computer sound system. There is extremely tough competition in the audio market though and some very good systems are available for a lot less, so let’s see how the FX5051 stacks up.”

XFX GeForce 7900 GT 470M 256MB VIVO

The XFX 7900 GT is a mid range card with a mid range price there are no down real sides to speak of. The card performs exceptionally well for its price range and it has outstanding overclocking abilities.

PC Stats :: Tuesday, November 21, 2006
“The AOpen 18x Triple Format DVD Rewriter (DSW1812P) is one of the few recordable DVD drives on that market that supports every single recordable DVD format there is – we’re talking DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RAM, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD+R Dual Layer and DVD-R Dual Layer.
