EVGA nForce 680i-SLI Motherboard Review
Motherboards.org :: Saturday, November 18, 2006
As far as the 680i goes, I liked what we saw here in the lab, as stability was excellent, and its design is quite nice as well. For those wanting an entirely NVIDIA based motherboard and VGA combination for the Intel platform, this is the hottest game in town at the moment. NVIDIA has once again made a winner chipset, that has translated into a great motherboard in the form of the 680i!
TTIC NPH Big Cooler Review![]()
PC Modding Malaysia :: Saturday, November 18, 2006
“It has been awhile since we last reviewed CPU coolers and we thought it would be a great time to feature some nice heatpipe coolers from TTIC (aka nPowertek). Based on their legendary heat column technology, TTIC is back with some nice new coolers to the market. In this review, we had the opportunity to check out their latest lineup of CPU coolers. With support for AMD socket AM2 right to Intel Core 2 Duo socket LGA775, their NPH Big is the biggest heat column cooler from the company. On the other hand, we also checked out their budget heat column coolers; NPH 775-8 and NPH AM2”
Thermalfly I75DUH Bifurcated Fin Heatsink Review
Frosty Tech :: Saturday, November 18, 2006
“The second Thermalfly heatsink to cross the FrostyTech test bench this week is the new I75DUH cooler – a socket 775 model with straight, ultra thin bifurcated fins. This is a low-profile cooler for Intel Pentium D and Core 2 Duo processors, and given the pedigree of this thermal design, it should do pretty well by all accounts. Of course we’ll have to wait for the thermal results before drawing any final conclusions… Thermalfly’s I75DUH heatsink is equipped with a 96mm fan that rotates as lackadaisically as 500RPM, yet it can scale up to 2300RPM when the needs demand. The 4-pin PWM is controlled by the BIOS on compatible motherboards, and when it’s installed on motherboards that don’t support PWM CPU fans, it rotates away at full speed. At full tilt, the heatsink produces a little more than 48 dBA. ”

Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700
t-break :: Thursday, November 16, 2006
The QX6700 is basically two E6700 CPUs stuck together- the same process that Intel did with their initial dual core Pentium D CPUs. To refresh your memory, the E6700 is a dual core 2.66GHz Core 2 CPU from Intel with 4MB L2 Cache. So the QX6700 becomes 2 x 2.66GHz dual core CPUs with 2 x 4MB L2 Cache
Cooler Master iTower 930 ATX Case Review
Big Bruin :: Thursday, November 16, 2006
The Cooler Master iTower 930 ATX Case is a definite winner. It provides attractive styling, good system cooling, extremely quiet operation, mostly tool-less installation features, and high quality construction. These are all things you expect from a Cooler Master case, and they are what makes them one of the premier brands in the business. They then take things to a new level by adding the four extremely useful hot swap SATA drive bays. Cooler Master didn’t cut any corners with the integration of the drive bays, as they are easy to use, do not impact drive performance, keep drives cool, and just look really sharp in the process.

Albatron KI51PV-754
Overclockers Online :: Wednesday, November 15, 2006
If good things come in small packages, this board has it all. For anyone looking to build a powerful car-computer this is a great alternative to the usual VIA solutions. The overall system performance is respectable given the system configuration. The dual Ethernet solution could easily turn this into a mini-server or custom router. The GeForce 6150 makes for a very powerful backbone allowing great video playback and dual display output with TV-out.

Abit AW9D i975X![]()
Phornix :: Wednesday, November 15, 2006

We have the Abit AW9D on our test bench, which is backed by Intel’s flagship 975X processor and boasts an arsenal of innovative features. But how does this product perform under GNU/Linux? We have all of the performance metrics to share today.”
Vizo Orbiter HDD Cooler![]()
Dragonsteel Mods :: Wednesday, November 15, 2006
A little bit ago I had my hard drive catch fire, and I mean literally catch fire. We would have to assume this was from being a bit too hot, or some other problem related to the manufacture of the drive itself. It seems that as most technology advances the heat emitted from these devices grows as well. Heat is the bane of PC components, and probably the most important part of any system is the hard drive, keeping that cool should be one of the top priorities. It seems it isn’t though, manufacturers really do nothing to help dissipate heat from hard drives, the basic design hasn’t changed much, except to just get smaller. So it is up to the end user to keep their hard drive cool with a well ventilated case or adding a product like the Vizo Orbiter HDD Cooler that I have for review today. It looks cool, works well and as a bonus is almost silent.

Cooler Master NotePal P1![]()
3dgameman :: Wednesday, November 15, 2006
“Cooler Master has never disappointed in the quality and uniqueness of their products. The Cooler Master NotePal P1 does not differ from this winning combination. There dedication to the manufacturing process of their products is only matched by only a handful of other manufacturers out there. The NotePal is a sturdy and attractive cooler for any laptop and would nicely compliment any silver themed laptop.”
Enermax Galaxy EGA850EWL Quad Ultra 850W PSU![]()
PC Apex :: Wednesday, November 15, 2006
“The first thing you’ll notice is two transformers flanked by two beefy aluminum heatsinks. This is a radical approach from the single transformer found in most units. Not only does it provide a massive increase in power, but since the +12V line on the motherboard is separate from the +12V line used for peripherals, this provides cleaner power for your CPU(s).”

PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W Power Supply Review
Madshrimps :: Wednesday, November 15, 2006
“PC Power & Cooling is redesigning their product line to meet the voracious DC-current requirements of the next generations of graphic silicon. With video cards reaching 28cm in length and their power requirement in direct proportion things are bound to “heat up”. The fleet of multi-rail power supplies out there are misleading the public into believing more Rails = more power when the opposite is often true. Today we peer into the PC Power & Cooling´s Silencer series via the Silencer 750 EPS12V for an interesting alternative to multi-rail anemia.”

Today for review I have a case fan that moves a whole heck of a lot of air, this thing will keep even the hottest case cool that is if you don’t care to much about the noise level of your case. For review today I have the Windstorm 80mm Fan from our friends at Vizo. The Windstorm pushes an amazing 81.5CFM, but puts out over 50 decibels of noise, if you can stand the noise this fan will keep your case, CPU or any component in your system nice and cool with lots of fresh air. The Windstorm could be a great asset for overclockers and enthusiasts who wish to really push their system. I even decided to get creative and throw a couple videos in, this fan can easily push itself across my table. Read on to check it out..
