X-Arcade Tankstick Review

X-Arcade has made quite a name for itself among retro gamers, and rightly so. They have a great reputation for producing practically indestructible authentic arcade controllers, and the Tankstick is the most fully-featured product yet.

There are still some improvements to be made, and there are a few features I’d like to see. The only way you’ll do better is to create a controller yourself, which will take many hours hunting down the parts you need, an electronics degree, and master carpentry skills.

The X-Arcade Tankstick is arguably the most complete arcade-authentic joystick you can buy right now, and is a perfect start for a dedicated arcade cabinet.

Installation 4 Installation is virtually automatic when used with a console, but use with MAME may require a little configuration, but mostly works out of the box. Value 4 $200 is a little much to spend on a game controller, but let’s face it: this item is for those who are seriously hardcore about video games. Will last forever, outlasting many generations of consoles and computers. FINAL VERDICT: 5 out of 5 stars
