“The Biostar TForce 590 SLI Deluxe motherboard is a pretty good socket AM2 motherboard. The package is impressive and you even get some freebies inside it. Based on the infamous NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI chipset, the TForce 590 SLI Deluxe is targeted towards the high-end market. The board layout is pretty decent and most of the components were well laid out. Stability was not compromised as Biostar used quality components around the motherboard such as aluminium capacitors, 6-phase PWM and wide low-profile SB cooler. We also thought that the TForce 590 SLI Deluxe motherboard would be targeted by modders and enthusiasts as the board tends to illuminate under UV lighting. It comes with dual PCI-E x16 slots, dual Gigabit LAN, five SATA connectors and along with a single external SATA connector at the rear I/O panel. The board boots at up to 350HTT but we were able to ClockGen our way up to 420HTT, which isn’t too shabby. With plenty of overclocking headroom left, we easily maxed out our little 3000+ Orleans 1.8GHz processor to an amazing 3GHz clock speed. Considering that the motherboard retails at only $199 / RM730, the Biostar TForce 590 SLI Deluxe has got to be a steal! There’s no way you can purchase a high-end nForce 590 SLI motherboard at that price. Plus, it overclocks like a beast too!”

It may not look like much on the outside, but, the Nextherm is one of the better power supplies I’ve ever seen in terms of voltage accuracy and holding that voltage while under a load. I would, recommend it to someone who has a need for an always on or dedicated server in a large case, or a LAN server whose secondary role may be as a gaming machine and is serving up several files.

On the physical side, the drive is very sexy to say the least with its unique flat black finish it will please anyone that enjoys showing off their hardware. The only downside I thought would come with this drive is the price. However since the WD4000KD drive has been released it has come down in price, and can now be had for roughly the same price as the Hitachi and Seagate 400GB hard drives. And with the Western Digital drive having 16MB of cache rather than 8MB as seen on the Hitachi and Seagate we think this is a clear choice.
