Last month we had the chance to review one of Samsung’s largest LCD display’s with their 24″ 244T monitor. The 244T was a very good performer and quite enjoyable to review. Needless to say when the Fedex man came to our product lab with a 24″ multi-functional display in his hand it was a very exciting moment. The 242MP is Samsung’s largest multi-functional display and comes equipped with a set of side-mounting speakers.

For this week’s FreewareFrenzy, I will be taking a look at FastStone Image Viewer 2.6. With support for all major image formats, the program is a toolbox for organizing, editing and working with your photo collection. So let’s take a closer look. The program has a simple layout, similar to what you would expect in a photo program. The tools lie along the top, while the left side houses a folder tree and preview pane. The right side displays your images. Of course all the areas are resizable for your convenience. Looking along the menus at the top, we have the Edit, View, Tag, and Tools menus. I’ll look at each one in turn and see what it has to offer.

I have been using onboard audio since an nVidia nForce 2 motherboard had issues with a Creative Labs Live! sound card some years ago. My biggest audio use has just been for playback of MP3 and games, but when I built my home theater system I thought of getting a dedicated sound card and just couldn’t justify it as the sound was adequate. The Auzentech X-Plosion has changed that position, as I can clearly hear the difference between the onboard sound and the X-Plosion.

Right now, Sennheiser has got the PMX70 Sport headphones which are currently being sold for £30. These are gym headphones which just fit anybody’s head just right. Yes, it does not matter if you have a huge head or a small one. They just fit snugly on and around your neck’s back without being uncomfortable at that. You would find the speakers to be snuggled just right in your ear..
