The methodology of video analysis technologies (VAT) is very different than that of standard digital security systems. Using complex algorithms, a video analysis server will detect any number of specific behaviors and events that would fall into the ‘need-to-know-about’ classification. Examples of these could be – someone falling down due to attack, illness or accident. Loitering or running in a sensitive area, a suspicious object or vandalizing and graffiti. Video Analysis systems are designed not to trigger an alert that is ‘false’ – it will ignore events or activities that are unimportant.

Razer is mostly know for all their gaming mice including the Razer Krait Victor reviewed just a few days ago. Not as much known is their professional series called Pro Solutions that were announced at the Mac World expo 2005. Together with the white color of all the Pro Solutions products it is easy to think that they are aimed at Mac-users only but that is not true. Razer has drivers and tools for both Mac and PC.

Samsung’s 244T is a monster 24″ LCD display and we had it all to ourselves for the past few weeks. The 244T comes packed with features including a 8ms response time, 500 cd/m^2, and a super high 1000:1 contrast ratio.

“Overall, OCZ redefines DDR2 overclocking with the return of Voltage eXtreme series. Being the first DDR2 to bear the VX2 tag, the PC2-8000 Titanium Alpha kit is designed for overclockers. Physically, the PC2-8000 VX2 looked like it came from out of space and you will definitely love if you like to pimp your rig. Based on the infamous Micron D9GMH memory ICs, these modules is rated at 500MHz CL4-4-4-15 It works as advertised and our benchmark results prove that DDR1000 does bring a slight improvement over DDR800. Although we did not hit the magic 600MHz mark, we did manage clock it up to 562MHz at CL5 but it was not “Prime” stable. For 24/7 operation, we found 550MHz at CL5 to be the maximum overclock as the modules showed excellent stability during our 11 hours stress test on our setup. Priced at about $489 / RM1800, the PC2-8000 VX2 kit is quite pricey but you will be covered up to 2.52V though. If you are looking at getting a new 2GB DDR2 kit for your high-end AM2 or Conroe setup with plans of overclocking and overvolting, the OCZ PC2-8000 Titanium Alpha VX2 2GB kit is worth checking out, provided if you have a 490 bucks budget just for the RAM. However when you crank it up to 2.5V, you can be rest assured that OCZ will cover you down the road!”

Now please keep in mind that this article is in no way a power supply review. You have not just witnessed some sort of weird five-way power supply shootout. There are so many good things to say about ALL of the power supplies I used today. For example, the voltage drop going from 0A to 11A on both the Antec NeoHE and Corsair HX620W was actually LESS than the FSP600-80GLC power supply with fixed cables. But the focus of today’s article was to simply clarify some of the fuzzy math used to create fud over modular power supplies, therefore we focused primarily on the drop from the power supply’s PCB to the load.
