Nvidia is now mass producing what can only be considered weapon-grade silicon with their latest and greatest G80 GPU architecture (a.k.a. GeForce 8800). Currently the G80 is available in two mouth watering flavors, both of which are capable of blowing any existing competitor out of the water.
In fact, that could well be considered an understatement as we have already seen SLI 7900GTXs and CrossFire X1950XTX cards being defeated by a single GeForce 8800 graphics card. The GeForce 8800 GTX is the cream of the crop, featuring 768MB of on-board GDDR3 memory operating at 1.8GHz with a core clock frequency of 575MHz. And while all this sounds fairly typical of a high-end graphics card (the large memory capacity, high memory and core frequencies), the G80 architecture is like nothing we have encountered before.

At this point in time 19″ LCD displays are very common and they can be had quite cheaply. Among those available there wide spectrum- from those that are extremely inexpensive to those that are not as affordable but have performance advantages or an improved base. The Samsung name carries a price premium in and of itself, but most of their models bring something more to the table than an average 19″ LCD. The 931BF has a few interesting selling points, such as a 2ms response time and Samsung’s MagicTune display technology. On the surface this product does not look any different from a number of other models, but it should be interesting to see how Samsung has set their product apart from the rest.

Today I am reviewing my recently purchased the Sapphire 256 MB X1950XT PCI-Express Graphics card. This graphics card is very similar to the X1900XT, only featuring some higher speed 256mb 1.0ns memory that has a stock speed of 1800 MHz. Like the X1900, it features 48 pixel shaders and features HDCP support.
